All Johnny (Carson Boatman) and Chanel (Raven Bowens) want to do is make a good impression on Amy Choi (Shi Ne Nielson) so that she will approve of them adopting Sophia (Rachel Boyd) and Tate's (Leo Howard) baby. They invite her to the DiMera mansion to meet the parents with EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) and Paulina (Jackee Harry) on their best behavior. Everyone is all smiles until Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) storms into the DiMera living room, waving a gun around.

She demands that EJ tell her where her brother is, but all EJ can do is play dumb and offer some nervous laughter while Sophia sees all her dreams slipping down the drain. So do Johnny and Chanel.

Johnny should know he is part of one of the craziest families in town and that looking like perfect adoptive parents was practically impossible. How will Johnny and Chanel explain what's going on to someone as prim and proper as Amy? More importantly, will Gabi ever get the answers she's looking for about Rafe (Galen Gering)?

Joy's in a panic

Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins) hasn't had much luck with men or jobs since arriving in Salem, and things are about to go from bad to worse, depending on how you look at it. When Joy realizes that her period is late, she rushes to the hospital for a pregnancy test.

Of course, Stephanie (Abigail Klein) is right there to hear Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) order the test. She knows the baby would be Alex's, which prompts Stephanie to re-evaluate things. Would Stephanie really want to be with a man who just got another woman pregnant? Perhaps she should talk to young Holly (Ashley Puzemis)...

Marlena's worst nightmare

Marlena (Deidre Hall) has been missing John (Drake Hogestyn) for months, but the ISA assured her that he was safe even though he couldn't make contact with her. Now, Steve (Stephen Nichols) has to break it to his good friend that John is missing in action.

After telling Brady (Eric Martsolf) about his dad, Marlena vows to find John if it's the last thing she does. However, she is about to embark on a journey that will take her where she doesn't want to go...
