Days of our Lives spoilers, October 31: Halloween hijinks in Leo's brain

It's time for some spooky and creepy moments in Salem again. You won't know what's real and what's all a nightmare that Leo (Greg Rikaart) conjures up in his typically warped mind.

With Chanel (Raven Bowens) and Johnny (Carson Boatman) on the outs, Johnny once again begs Chanel to forgive him. That's easier said than done, considering that Johnny called his wife a slut and accused her of cheating on him with Alex (Robert Scott Wilson). Johnny didn't bother checking just who Alex was having sex with when he walked in on an intimate moment between Alex and Stephanie (Abigail Klein). He just assumed it was Chanel and blew up his marriage before learning the truth.

Things look like they get rather dicey when a masked man known as the "Pineview Plunger" appears at Paulina's (Jackee Harry) door and stabs Chanel. The next thing we know, Chanel will be on the floor unconscious, but Alex is there to try and save her. That just leads Johnny to lob more accusations Alex's way, but is any of this really happening, or is it all pure fiction?

The Plunger seems to make their way around Salem, showing up at the DiMera mansion to cause some trouble for Hattie (Deidre Hall) and Abe (James Reynolds). Johnny seems to be law enforcement in this scenario, so will he catch the killer or just accuse Alex of being the culprit?

Over at Salem University Hospital, Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) is ready for her first day at work, but she also ends up with a knife plunged into her chest as Abe looks on. Bonnie (Judi Evans) also seems to be having her own medical malady.

Is there something more going on at the hospital than meets the eye, or will Leo wake up and have all new ideas for future Body and Soul storylines? Is Salem's soap with a soap about to get its very first serial killer a la the Salem Strangler, DAYS' very first serial killer?
