With Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) starting to rethink the divorce, Stefan (Brandon Barash) is anxious to see her but he doesn't make it that far. Instead, he is surprised to see his mother in the DiMera living room with her trusty manservant, Ivan, by her side. The last Stefan had heard, Vivian (Louise Sorel) was supposed to be in jail, but she seemed to have secured an early release.

Too bad Vivian doesn't have much time to chit-chat. Instead, she is determined to get Stefan out of Salem whether he wants to go or not. To that end, she directs Ivan to knock him out and kidnap him. Before Stefan knows it, he is out cold on the couch, but when he wakes, he will find himself in the trunk of a car. With this being Brandon Barash's last episode as Stefan, will we ever see the character again? Will Gabi wonder what happened to her wayward cheating husband?

Stefan isn't the only one dealing with a surprise guest in their living room. Xander (Paul Telfer) is stunned to see Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) back in Salem and has to deal with him as a brother and not a cousin for the first time ever. The last time Philip was in town, Xander still believed he was Victor's nephew.

Phillip is back to ensure that Titan does not fall into the wrong hands. Xander is set to hand their father's company over to Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) so he can get his hands on Dr. Rolf's (Richard Wharton) serum. Finding a way for Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) to walk again one day is Xander's top priority, but it's not Philip's priority at all.

Xander argues that Victor (the late John Aniston) left his long-lost son Titan, but Philip argues that he was also Victor's son. Xander is not about to let Philip get in his way, so he lunges at his brother. Will Justin (Wally Kurth) be forced to play referee?
