Days of our Lives spoilers, March 26: Paulina's desperate attempt to fix Chanel and Johnny's mess

What to expect on Days of our Lives

Now that EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) believes he has taken care of his Rachel Blake (Ros Gentle) problem — for now — he needs to get down to more important family matters, namely making things right with his son, Johnny (Carson Boatman). Unfortunately, Johnny doesn't want to hear anything EJ has to say.

Paulina (Jackee Harry) has been trying to fix the adoption debacle so that Johnny and Chanel (Raven Bowens) can raise Tate (Leo Howard) and Sophia's (Rachel Boyd) baby, but she knows she has to fix things with EJ first. Chanel is thrilled that Amy Choi (Shi Ne Nielson) is willing to reconsider, but Amy also wants EJ out of the way and nowhere near her precious grandchild.

Paulina tries to appeal to EJ's better angels, but will she get through to him? With EJ's life practically falling apart at the seams, he doesn't want to listen to reason from anyone. Instead, he is acting and reacting with his emotions. Can Paulina convince him that letting Johnny go for the sake of the adoption is the best way to get him back?

Holly goes to bat for Doug

Holly (Ashley Puzemis) is stunned to learn that Tate opened his big mouth and told Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) that Doug III (Peyton Meryer) stole Alice Horton's (Frances Reid) diamond necklace. Doug is also stunned that Julie kicked him right out of the house. With nowhere to go, Doug turns to Holly.

Holly helps Doug out so he has a place to lay his head at night, but this can't be healthy for her relationship with Tate. Will Holly end things with Tate for betraying her confidence? She told Tate the truth, never thinking he would turn around and blab to Julie. While what Doug did was wrong, Holly now feels she can't trust her boyfriend.

At the moment, her main concern is Doug and helping him in any way that she can since she feels responsible for what happened. However, Tate will soon receive an earful he's not prepared for. After all, he is dealing with Nicole Walker's (Arianne Zucker) daughter.
