What to expect on Days of our Lives

Doug III (Peyton Meyer) and Holly (Ashley Puzemis) are stunned to see that the woman who bought Alice Horton's (Frances Reid) diamond necklace is none other than former district attorney and mayoral candidate Melinda Trask (Tina Huang). Melinda is quite proud of the treasure she got for a steal and doesn't care that it was stolen right out of the Horton house.
When Holly realizes that Melinda is not about to let go of this stunning piece of jewelry, she gives Melinda a piece of her mind. Will Doug calm his friend down and try to reason with Melinda? His nice guy persona can be quite persuasive. Doug really wants to give this necklace back to Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes), so perhaps he can try to appeal to Melinda's sentimentality if she even has any.
Perhaps Melinda is willing to sell it for a high price, but that would mean Holly and Doug need to come up with money they don't have. Doug could end up more indebted to Holly than ever, which certainly won't sit well with Tate (Leo Howard). However, Tate has his own problems at the moment with Theresa (Emily O'Brien) back in Salem.
Rafe demands answers

Now that Dr. Rolf's (Richard Wharton) serum is doing what it is supposed to and Rafe (Galen Gering) only forgets his time in the DiMera tunnels, he wants to know what really happened to him over the last few months. Since Jada (Elia Cantu) can now prove the man Shawn (Brandon Beemer) arrested is Rafe, he is set free and heads straight to EJ (Daniel Feurriegel) for some answers.
As always, EJ plays dumb and doesn't know what Rafe is talking about. He reiterates that Arnold Feniger is dead, so he couldn't have replaced Rafe with a man who died years ago. In fact, EJ still thinks he has the upper hand. After all, Jada is still under investigation and doesn't have a job. EJ knows he has covered his tracks well and is not worried that he could be found out and end up behind bars.
