Ever the resourceful child, Rachel (Finley Rose Slater) has found a place to land after running away from home. She finds herself in a big house with an older woman dressed all in white.

As she makes herself at home and unpacks her stuffed snake, the woman shows Rachel around as they look at an old photo album. Rachel seems happy and satisfied with this woman, but her satisfaction turns to anger when she sees that Ava (Tamara Braun) has found her.

Ava follows a lead and wanders into the house. She thinks she hits paydirt when she sees Rachel's snake, but the lady dressed all in white has an idea for Rachel. She encourages her to knock Ava out with a candlestick. Why not teach our children well?

Has Rachel found a new friend who is just like her? Maybe there is a reason Rachel happened upon someone who is so much like her mother, just a little older.

While Ava lies passed out on a couch, Brady (Eric Martsolf) searches for her in seek of a little comfort that Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) can't seem to give.

The saga of Cat and Chad

Cat (AnnaLynn McCord) is back in Salem for the foreseeable future and has to make sure she has a job. Is that what she is calling Marlena (Deidre Hall) about when she contacts Salem's resident psychiatrist? Or does Cat feels she needs a little care that only Doc Marlena can provide?

Marlena and Cat spent some time bonding recently, with the shrink getting Cat to open up. If Cat works for Marlena, does that mean he can get free therapy sessions at the drop of a hat?

Therapy is exactly what Chad (Billy Flynn) wants for Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes). She barely sleeps at night and then misses whole days as her body catches up on some rest. For the first time in 50 years, Julie has to live without Doug, and it's taking its toll on her.
