Days of our Lives spoilers, January 17: Panicked Kristen turns to Brady

Brady (Eric Martsolf) was in a panic when Ava (Tamara Braun) tried to break things off with him due to Rachel's (Finley Rose Slater) threatening texts. She wasn't sure if she needed this complication in her life nor did she want to hurt Rachel, but Brady convinced her he would make things okay. Kristen was having a long talk with Rachel, and he was sure she could solve the problem.

Both Brady and Kristen were relieved when Rachel agreed to go to therapy before packing her backpack and walking out the door. Brady relays the news to Ava before the two enjoy a few close moments on Marlena's (Deidre Hall) couch. However, the close moments don't last long when a frantic Kristen barges into the apartment and interrupts them.

When Kristen is this panicked, Rachel is usually involved. When she walked out the DiMera front door with her backpack, where did Rachel end up? Rachel is set to go missing soon. Was Thursday the last we will see of her for a while? Are Brady and Kristen going to end up bonding as they search for their daughter, leaving Ava out in the cold?

Leo sets a trap...for the wrong person

Leo (Greg Rikaart) is back to jumping to conclusions again. Seeing Javi (Al Calderon) wearing that Rochester jacket planted the wrong idea in Leo's head. He knows the new Lady Whistleblower has a Rochester, NY connection, so in Leo's mind, Javi has to be the columnist. What Leo does not know is that Kerry is really Lady Whistleblower and not Javi. At least Marlena convinced Leo not to confront Javi without real proof.

Now, that Leo knows the Rochester sweatshirt isn't Javi's, he's grateful he didn't confront him. Kerry told Leo the sweater was his — and he's from Rochester. On Friday, Leo goes rogue and decides to lay his own trap for the person who has been giving away spoilers and trashing Body and Soul whenever he has the chance. Leo is about to get himself into more trouble than he bargained for as Kerry is not a good guy and Leo is now playing with fire. Will Javi figure out what is going on and come to Leo's rescue? Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) won't like that idea at all considering her disdain for Leo.
