Ever since Holly (Ashley Puzemis) learned that Sophia (Madelyn Kientz) was pregnant with Tate's (Leo Howard) baby, Tate has been promising Holly that things won't have to change between them. She thought that might be true when Sophia didn't plan to keep the baby, but now that Sophia is going ahead with the pregnancy, Holly doesn't know what to think.

Tate still insists that everything will be fine. He is going to be a father to his child, but he is not in love with Sophia. He loves Holly and is determined to prove it to her with a romantic gesture. Holly is excited to see what Tate has in store, but things are about to go wrong very fast.

Sophia has made it her goal to be an interloper in Holly and Tate's romance and the baby she is carrying is the perfect reason to contact Tate for whatever she wants whenever she wants it. How much of that can Holly handle — especially from her former BFF? At least young Doug (Peyton Meyer) is waiting in the wings.

Leo (Greg Rikaart) is happy to be friends with Javi (Al Calderon) again, but he once again thinks that Javi is Lady Whistleblower. As Leo opens up to Marlena (Deidre Hall), will she have any good advice for her patient and new friend? Leo can't believe he was so wrong when he was originally so right. Little does he know that the Rochester jacket belongs to Kerry and not Javi.

Meanwhile, Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) is determined to make sure that her cousin stays away from Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart). She has never liked him and still thinks he is bad news, especially after Leo hurled all those baseless accusations around. Gabi much prefers Kerry (Derek Yates) but has no idea that Kerry is the one whom Leo has been looking for.

Kerry is up to something much more nefarious than being a disgruntled soap fan and new gossip columnist. Will Gabi catch on before Javi gets in too deep or will it have to be Leo to the rescue?
