Johnny (Carson Boatman) is determined to start 2025 off right despite his bonehead mistakes in 2024. To that end, he and an oblivious Chanel (Raven Bowens) plan a rocking New Year's Eve party in the DiMera mansion.

Everyone who is anyone in Salem is in attendance, including JJ (Casey Moss) and Gabi (Cherie Jimenez), Belle (Martha Madison) and Jada (Elia Cantu), and Stephanie (Abigail Klein) and Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier). Too bad Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) and Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins) are also there, which causes some complications for Johnny. He is still trying to keep his affair with Joy under wraps, but that's going to be easier said than done. Affairs can never stay buried for long, especially on a soap.

Chanel is still under the impression that all is right with her marriage, but it looks like she will ring in 2025 with a big surprise she may never find herself able to forgive. How will Johnny explain himself when Chanel inevitably confronts him?

Chanel is pleased to see that Alex is there for Joy as she thinks they are in the beginning stages of a relationship, but she can't understand why they are involved in such a heated and secretive conversation.

Alex is the only one who knows what Johnny and Joy did that fateful night and is willing to keep her secret, but that secret is affecting his own romantic life. He is not happy to see Stephanie at the party with Philip.

As for Stephanie, she is doing her best to forget Alex and throw herself into dating her ex. Philip is attentive and seems to want her back, so Stephanie is just rolling with it for the moment. She is enjoying her time with Philip, but Alex doesn't enjoy watching it all play out.

That means things may get even more complicated as the new year begins. Alex and Joy have developed a deep friendship over a short amount of time. Will that friendship lead to something else? Will Alex and Stephanie end up with the wrong people to start 2025?
