Days of our Lives spoilers, February 6: Everything changes for Alex and Stephanie...and Joy

Stephanie (Abigail Klein) was alarmed when Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) suddenly passed out on her couch but relieved when the paramedics quickly gave him an antidote, and he survived. However, finding Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins) in the same position in her Salem Inn room sends them to the hospital.

While Joy is being examined and treated, Alex and Stephanie pick up where they left off in her apartment. Alex confesses his feelings for Stephanie and pulls her into a kiss. Stephanie couldn't be more thrilled. She doesn't know what she was thinking by dating Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) when it was Alex who she wanted.

Too bad Alex started seeing Joy and sleeping with her when he thought Stephanie was unavailable. Now, Joy is hooked on Alex but she is about to wind up heartbroken when she wanders the hospital halls. She spots Alex and Stephanie kissing and knows Stephanie is indeed her competition.

Will she step aside or put up a fight? This is the second time Joy is the odd woman out since she arrived in Salem and she might not like that position anymore.

Xander's plan

Xander (Paul Telfer) is still oblivious to the fact that he is working with someone who doesn't have the right to work with him. Philip has no claim to Titan at all and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) knows it. However, Sarah is not about to tell her husband the truth and risk him trying to kill his brother.

When Xander comes to Sarah with his latest business plan, she does her best to put on a happy face and not give away Philip's secret. She is glad to see the brothers getting along, but she knows Xander's temper and doesn't want to see him behind bars. What is Xander's business plan anyway? Is it something that can inadvertently expose Philip and Vivian's (Louise Sorel) duplicity?

As for Philip, he gets chewed out by his mother. What is Kate (Lauren Koslow) so angry about this time? Is she sad because her soap opera was sabotaged, and she takes it out on Philip?
