Days of our Lives spoilers, February 24: Will Jada's heartache leads to a big Shawn mistake

Things keep getting worse for Jada (Elia Cantu). It wasn't enough that "Rafe" (Galen Gering) broke her heart by leaving her at the altar, and she lost her job over trumped-up charges. Now she knows that "Rafe" cheated on her the night before her ill-fated wedding — or at least she thinks it's Rafe who cheated on her.

When Shawn (Brandon Beemer) comes along as Jada is absorbing Javi's (Al Calderon) new information about her former fiance, Jada leaps into his arms. Then, they leap to Stephanie's (Abigail Klein) apartment, where they both lament their current situations with their exes. Shawn still can't believe that Belle (Martha Madison) is now regularly sleeping with EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel), so it looks like he is going to sleep with Jada.

Neither Jada nor Shawn know that EJ is behind this whole mess. If it weren't for EJ, Jada and Rafe would be on their honeymoon and none of this would be happening. Now, Jada is about to drown her sorrows with another man while the man she really loves is struggling to escape EJ's latest attempt to quiet him.

Meanwhile, Arnold continues acting like Arnold and barely has a pretense of pretending to be Rafe anymore. This time, he gets into it with Gabi (Cherie Jimenez), who he doesn't like living with. Arnold doesn't like Rafe's sister at all and has no problem picking a fight with her, but it only arouses Gabi's suspicions.

Like Javi and Jada, she knows this man is nothing like the brother who helped raise her, but it's never occurred to Gabi that this man may not be Rafe. She is not sure she buys the theory that his coma turned him into a worse person.

Arnold just wants to get rid of Gabi, so she stops asking so many questions and stops cramping his style. He might find his "sister" is more of a challenge than he imagined because she won't let Arnold get away with anything. Might Gabi soon start to suspect that there is more going on here than she ever imagined?
