Days of our Lives spoilers, February 21: Rafe's attempts another great escape

Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) thinks a serum that arrived at the DiMera mansion is the perfect solution for EJ's (Daniel Feuerriegel) little Rafe (Galen Gering) problem at Aremid. The DiMera siblings head to Kristen's family home to find Rafe all tied up. When EJ removes Rafe's gag, Rafe does his best to talk his way out of his current situation, but EJ whips out the syringe, ready to jab Rafe.

However, Rafe uses his cop skills for a change and fights back. He grabs EJ, and they struggle for the syringe as Kristen looks on, not sure what to do. She thought they had the perfect plan but was not counting on Rafe doing anything to try to escape. Perhaps she should check on her mother, who also finds herself in a bit of trouble. The scene downstairs is as shocking as the scene in the attic.

Meanwhile, Shawn (Brandon Beemer) is there for Jada (Elia Cantu) after Javi (Al Calderon) drops the bomb that Rafe cheated.

While Ava (Tamara Braun) is relieved that Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Brady (Eric Martsolf) finally found her, Brady is still reeling knowing that Ava was in Aremid all along. She had clearly been there since Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater) ran away, which means Rachel is likely responsible. Knowing that CPS is asking questions can get his daughter in trouble, but Brady also has questions for Ava.

She explains what happened with both Rachels, which is just wild to Brady. He can't believe Kristen's mother is alive and has been just outside of Salem all of these years. Brady brings Ava to the hospital to be checked out after her long ordeal. He is relieved that Ava is okay, but he really has to deal with his daughter.

Back at Aremid, Steve even meets Rachel Blake (Roslyn Gentle) and learns more than he ever wanted to know about Kristen's crazy family. Will he hear the commotion going on upstairs and come to his partner's rescue? And what will he do with this unusual Woman in White standing before him? Perhaps the police need to get involved.
