Days of our Lives spoilers, February 17: Tate is stunned by Johnny and Chanel

Johnny (Carson Boatman) and Chanel (Raven Bowens) were crushed to learn it wasn't safe for Chanel to try to get pregnant again. Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) tried to be reassuring, but she made it sound like there was doubt that Chanel could ever safely become pregnant.

However, Sophia (Rachel Boyd) and Tate (Leo Howard) were thrilled to learn that Sophia's mom was okay with them finding a couple to adopt their baby. When Johnny and Chanel hear the news, they realize it's fate and make a quick decision. Tate is stunned as Johnny and Chanel suggest that they adopt his and Sophia's baby.

Tate isn't quite sure what to say and knows he needs to discuss this with Sophia. Are they jumping the gun and should give this more thought or is the universe trying to tell them all something? For Johnny and Chanel, this could be the perfect solution for everyone, including the baby, who would have a happy home with two loving parents.

Tate also needs to think about Holly at that moment, especially since she is waiting for him at the Horton cabin. What he doesn't know is that Doug III (Peyton Meyer) is also there, but had no idea he would run into Holly.

More Valentine's Day romance

While Holly (Ashley Puzemis) waits for Tate and learns why Doug III is at the cabin, there is more romance back in mainland Salem. Javi (Al Calderon) and Leo (Greg Rikaart) spend their first Valentine's Day together as a couple, as do Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) and Stephanie (Abigail Klein).

Kayla may not be sure that Alex and Stephanie should be together, but Stephanie seems happier than ever. Alex takes Stephanie out for a romantic evening at The Bistro complete with red roses. The pair continues to flirt, so does that mean they are now official?

It took a lot for Alex and Stephanie to get to this place, including romances with multiple other people after they first began dating and split. It might be time to mutually declare their love.
