Days of our Lives spoilers, February 12: A new beginning for Johnny and Chanel

What to expect on Days of our Lives

Now that the drama of Body and Soul has come to an end and Salemites can get on with their regularly scheduled soap opera, Johnny (Carson Boatman) and Chanel (Raven Bowens) have some decisions to make. Body and Soul brought out Johnny's insanely jealous streak and broke them apart, but now their estrangement and involvement with this daytime drama is over.

Before they agreed to be a part of Body and Soul, Johnny and Chanel were looking forward to becoming parents until Chanel's tragic miscarriage. After discussing where they want their lives to go now that their television jobs are no more, Johnny and Chanel realize that they still want to be parents and decide to try for another baby.

Their last pregnancy was unplanned and came as quite a shock after Chanel was exposed to radiation, thanks to Paulina (Jackee Harry). This time, they will be prepared both emotionally and logistically. Surely, nothing will get in their way...like an upcoming visit from Johnny's wayward mother...

Valentine's Day plans to remember

With a day dedicated to love coming up at the end of the week, high school sweethearts Holly (Ashley Puzemis) and Tate (Leo Howard) want to make the best of things. Thanks to Tate impregnating Holly's former best friend, they have had a lot of tension in their lives recently, but they will not let that fact tear them apart.

As Holly and Tate make big Valentine's Day plans, Sophia has other ideas. She always seems to need to talk to Tate at the most inopportune times, and Wednesday will be no exception. Holly is growing exasperated by Sophia's neediness, but Tate promised to be there for her and is determined to keep that promise. He just didn't know how difficult it would be.

Does Tate realize that he has competition for Holly's affection? Doug III (Peyton Meyer) is waiting in the wings but trying to respect that Holly has a boyfriend. Sadly, he may be out of a job now that Leo (Greg Rikaart) no longer has a soap opera to write.
