It's another big day for Brady (Eric Martsolf) and his son. First, Tate (Leo Howard) finally meets Sophia's (Madelyn Kientz) mother and is put in his place. She refuses to allow Sophia to have an abortion and insists that Tate and Sophia raise the baby together. Tate is not prepared for this at all, as he is just a high school senior who isn't even in love with Sophia.

When Ms. Chen takes Sophia home, Tate is left to ponder his plight and knows he finally has to confide in someone.

Brady is also set to get news that will change his life. Does that mean Tate decides to tell his father that he is about to be a grandfather? This will come as quite a surprise for Brady, who had not contemplated entering this chapter just yet. Will he have any good advice for his son? Will he be supportive? What will Theresa (Emily O'Brien) think when she learns of all of this?

Brady thought his biggest troubles were dealing with the battles between Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) and Ava (Tamara Braun), but boy, was he wrong.

Meanwhile, poor Holly (Ashley Puzemis) is devastated by the news that Sophia (Madelyn Kientz) is pregnant and can't believe that Tate thinks that everything between them could stay the same. This is monumental news that changes everything. Tate had just told Holly that he loved her, and she thought all was right with her world, and now this happened.

When Holly needs someone to talk to, she turns to her new friend Doug III, or as we will now call him, NuDoug (Peyton Meyer). Holly eyed up NuDoug the first moment she saw him on Christmas Eve and struck up a friendly conversation with him in Horton Town Square the next day.

NuDoug seems like a nice enough guy and is willing to give Holly a listening ear, but she has no idea he is not on the up and up. He is the one who stole that diamond necklace from the Horton time capsule and might not be the best person for Holly to adopt as a new pal.
