Days of our Lives spoilers, December 18: Hot romance for JJ and Gabi?

Now that JJ (Casey Moss) and Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) have returned from their adventure trying to bring down Clyde Weston (James Read) and figure out where Abigail's remains went, they need to re-evaluate their feelings for one another.

The former couple shared a bed while on their caper, but nothing happened except for a little inadvertent cuddling. When Javi (Al Calderon) questions Gabi, she denies having feelings for JJ, but her latest encounter with the man in question says otherwise.

The two share a few close moments that look as if they are about to turn physical. The attraction between JJ and Gabi is apparent, but nothing more can happen until they both face their feelings. Things did not end well between them the last time, plus Gabi is getting over her ill-fated marriage to Stefan (Brandon Barash). However, that does not mean she can't move on with JJ.

As for JJ, he is back at the Horton house with Chad (Billy Flynn) as they deliver some sad news to his parents. Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) won't like what they hear about Abigail.

The Greene family reunites

While JJ and Gabi did not technically take down Clyde, the bad guy now lingers in a coma thanks to Cat's (AnnaLynn McCord) mom, Catharina (Susan Elena Matus). Cat was along for the ride to rescue her mother from Clyde's clutches and succeeded, but Catharina is now behind bars, and Cat has to work to free her.

Still, she is back in Salem and can finally be out in the open and herself again. She reunites with brothers Aaron (Louis Tomeo) and Mark (Jonah Robinson), but little sister Felicity (Kennedy Garcia) isn't sure what to make of this strange woman who looks nothing like the sibling she remembers.

Cat already had to convince Catharina of who she was and is now forced to do the same with Felicity. When the teen finally believes Cat, the Greene family shares a tender reunion. The only thing they need is their mom back, but that will be easier said than done. Perhaps they can hire Justin (Wally Kurth) now that he has finished going to bat for Xander (Paul Telfer) in court.
