What to expect on Days of our Lives
Shawn (Brandon Beemer) is happy to hear from his mother until he hears what she has to say. Hope (Kristina Alfonso) has shocking news for her son. Bo (Peter Reckell) has taken a turn for the worse and is dying. After all they have tried to do for him over the last two years, it all seems for naught.
Shawn is tasked with giving Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Marlena (Deidre Hall) this horrible news. Steve is determined to do anything he can for Bo, just as he is determined to save John, but is leaving things up to the ISA for now.
Poor Shawn also needs some comfort for himself, so he turns to Jada (Elia Cantu). Do they fall into bed again, or will they take things slow? Perhaps Jada can just be there for Shawn to confide in, considering she just officially ended things with Rafe (Galen Gering) that afternoon. There is a definite attraction between Jada and Shawn, but they may be better as confidantes for now.
Johnny's dilemma
Johnny (Carson Boatman) is still trying to absorb the fact that Amy Choi (Shi Ne Nielson) said yes to him and Chanel (Raven Bowens) adopting Tate (Leo Howard) and Sophia's (Rachel Boyd) baby. A few weeks ago, this was all he wanted, but now he is not quite so sure this is a good idea.
When Johnny seeks out professional help, does that mean he turns to his grandmother for a listening ear and some advice? Marlena is back in town and ready to be there for Johnny, but she might not say what he wants to hear.

After all that has happened with his mother and father, including a near-fatal shooting, Johnny is not sure he should become anyone's parent right now, but he doesn't want to break Chanel's heart. Marlena had thought that Johnny and Chanel were rushing into this adoption anyway, so he might just tell them to hold off if he is not sure. How will Chanel take this news if Johnny decides to nix their plans? Tate and Sophia might not like the news either.
