What to expect on Days of our Lives
Sami (Alison Sweeney) was not expecting to hear Belle (Martha Madison) tell an unconscious EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) that she loved him but Belle was not expecting Sami to overhear her confession. Sami had to rush to Salem as soon as she heard that EJ was shot and in a medically-induced coma, but she hadn't realized that EJ and Belle were involved again. She thought she had nipped that in the bud several years ago.
Belle and Sami have never gotten along, and it's clear on Thursday that nothing has changed. Belle is embarrassed that Sami heard her confession while Sami has fun chastising her sister for falling for her leftovers.
When Belle leaves, Sami's true feelings come out. She sits down next to EJ and quietly tells him that she still loves him, too. Like Belle, Sami also doesn't know that someone is listening at the door, so she is going to have a whole lot of explaining to do.
Johnny's dilemma
While his father lingers in a coma, Johnny (Carson Boatman) still can't bring himself to visit. He is still angry at EJ after learning the horrible truth of his conception, but Chad (Billy Flynn) tries to put things in perspective for his nephew. Chad and EJ have been on-again-off-again through the years, but Chad has also seen a good side of his brother that others have not.
Chad tries to help Johnny understand who his father is and encourages forgiveness, but can Johnny ever feel the same way about EJ again? First, he ruined his chances to adopt Tate (Leo Howard) and Sophia's (Rachel Boyd) baby, and then he learned a shocking truth about his parents' past. He knew that EJ was flawed, but he never thought of him as a person who would sexually assault someone.

Johnny remains torn and confused, but Chad's words might get to him because he finally decides to go see EJ. However, what he finds when he gets there shocks him to his core and leaves him more confused than ever. He is happy to see his mother but can't understand why she is with his father.
