Days of our Lives' newlyweds make things fun

It's been anything but fun and games for Days of our Lives newlyweds Sarah and Xander since they wed in their living room just a few short weeks ago. However, actors Paul Telfer and Linsey Godfrey offer a few laughs in a new video.

Sarah and Xander planned to spend their honeymoon at the Horton cabin on Smith Island, but before they could leave, Sarah was the victim of a hit-and-run drunk-driving accident. Sarah still has no idea her new mother-in-law, Fiona, was driving the car. Thankfully, Sarah will live, but for the moment, she doesn't have use of her legs.

Telfer and Godfrey got away from the melodrama of their Salem lives to see how well their characters knew one another in a DAYS take on the old Newlywed Game. DAYS calls its game "DOOL'ing Couples," but it's the same basic concept of the classic game show that's had multiple incarnations since the 1960s.

Game time for "Xarah"

DAYS shared the video on its official Instagram account. Fans can watch Telfer and Godfrey making each other laugh as they answer a variety of questions about their characters.

Both agree that Xander would be the one to plan an elaborate romantic date, while Sarah certainly makes friends more easily than Xander. They also agree that Xander is more of a prankster than Sarah.

Telfer believes Sarah is more likely to plan an adventure than Xander, but Godfrey disagrees. However, when it comes to who is more likely to get in trouble, there's no doubt in either performer's mind who that would be—Xander, of course.

Godfrey had to concede that Xander would definitely come out as the winner on a game night. Does that mean Xander would be victorious if Sarah and Xander were to play this game for real?

This isn't DAYS' first foray into Newlywed Game fun. In 1986, newlyweds Eugene and Calliope (played by John de Lancie and the late Arleen Sorkin) appeared on a soap opera version of the actual Newlywed Game with Bob Eubanks guest-starring as host. Perhaps DAYS can recreate the moment on air for Xander and Sarah.
