The news of DAYS' renewal comes on the eve of the soap's annual free fan event known as Day of Days. The event will be held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The day will include autograph signings, photo opportunities with the stars, and a question and answer session. Day of Days will also offer Salem merchandise for sale.

On December 2, DAYS is set to reach another milestone when its 15,000 episode streams on Peacock. The special day is set to coincide with a memorial for Bill Hayes and his beloved character, Doug Williams. Hayes passed away in January of this year.

Expect multiple comebacks for the special episodes, including Kristian Alfonso (Hope Williams Brady), Melissa Reeves (Jennifer Horton Deveraux), Gloria Loring (Liz Chandler), and Stephen Schnetzer (Steve Olson).

In 2025, fans will begin seeing new stories from a new head writer, Paula Cwikly. Currently, the last of Ron Carlivati's plots are airing. You can expect to see fan favorites Bo and Hope back next spring when Alfonso and Peter Reckell make their returns.

DAYS premiered on NBC on November 8, 1965, and starred Macdonald Carey and Frances Reid as Dr. Tom Horton and his wife, Alice Horton. Tom and Alice were the parents of four adult children, Tommy, Addie, Mickey, and Marie. They were also guardians to their teenage granddaughter, Julie Olson.

Through the years, DAYS has earned 62 Daytime Emmy awards, including one this past June for Dick Van Dyke, who took home the gold in the Outstanding Guest Performer category. It has also garnered 392 Emmy nods.

DAYS made the move off of broadcast television and onto the Peacock streaming channel in 2022. New episodes of the soap can be streamed five days a week starting at 6 AM ET. You can also watch recent past seasons on demand.
