Days of our Lives' Sarah did what she's always accused Xander of doing to her. She lied by omission and is now keeping a massive life-changing secret from her husband.
Sarah's shocking move on Days of our Lives
Fans expected Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) to go right to Xander (Paul Telfer) as soon as Stephanie (Abigail Klein) told her that Philip's (John-Paul Lavoisier) letter from Victor (John Aniston) was a forgery and Philip had no legal right to run Titan with Xander. Instead, Sarah confronted Philip with the information and listened to his sob story.

Philip claimed he spent years trying to win his father's approval and was devastated when he learned that his father didn't leave him control of his company. He believed that he would have had Philip not been faking his own death at the time after getting himself in trouble again.
After Philip begged Sarah not to say a word, she went home and contemplated telling Xander anyway. After Xander told her that he'd promised Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) that he would try to get along with his brother, Sarah didn't have it in her to tell Xander the truth.
Sarah's move shocks Linsey Godfrey
Linsey Godfrey admits that Sarah's decision to keep the truth about Philip from Xander is not like her at all.
"It’s so anti-Sarah," Godfrey said in an interview with Soap Opera Digest. "I actually find this whole storyline to be so out of character for her. Sarah is a terrible liar, and she’s very uncomfortable with deceiving people. That’s her main issue with Xander, is that he doesn’t tell the truth all the time. He flat-out lies. So the idea that she, who has these very strong views about keeping secrets, is keeping a secret is so not her."
Still, Sarah knows her husband well and thinks she is doing the best thing for him by practically forcing Xander to work with Philip. She fears what he would do if he had complete control of Victor's company.
"She has good reason, and she’s justified in that reason," Godfrey continued. "In her mind, she’s like, 'He isn’t somebody who should have unlimited power and access to unlimited funds, because he’s proven himself untrustworthy with that power and dangerous.' If he has to run things by someone else, then it at least slows him down from making a poor choice."
There's also the little matter of Xander's penchant for the dramatic and trying to kill people who he thinks wronged him or someone he loves. Sarah might very well be thinking of what Xander recently tried doing to Brady (Eric Martsolf). When he thought Brady ran Sarah down with his car and nearly killed her, Xander tried to murder Brady — twice.
"I don’t disagree with the choice that she’s making, although I also feel very strongly about omission and not admitting the truth," Godfrey added. "But you can see why Sarah would do this. It’s because she’s like, 'Well, what if he beats Philip to death?'"
We're sure Philip is thinking the same thing as she tries to navigate life at Titan with an oblivious Xander by his side.
