Days of our Lives fans are in store for quite a few treats at the end of 2024 and in 2025 when more favorite past cast members return to the soap during its 60th anniversary year.
Days of our Lives welcomes old Salemites
Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso's returns were already announced last month, but now comes news of other stars making their way back to Salem.
According to TV Insider, Matthew Ashford (Jack Deveraux), Melissa Reeves (Jennifer Deveraux), Christie Clark (Carrie Brady), Leann Hunley (Anna DiMera), Thaao Penghlis (Tony DiMera), Victoria Konefal (Ciara Brady Weston), Chandler Massey (Will Horton), and Charles Shaughnessy (Shane Donovan) will all be back on your screens next June for a special story arc.

"We always love it when members of our beloved family return to Salem,” executive producer Ken Corday told TV Insider. "Fans are really going to enjoy what we have in store beginning this fall and well into next year."
Melissa Reeves, who will also be on-screen this coming December for the show's 15,000th episode that will coincide with Bill Hayes and Doug Williams' memorial, is thrilled to return again.
"It’s literally like when you don’t see your family and then you have a family reunion," Reeves said. "I’m like, 'I have to focus on the storyline but at the same time, I want to visit with everyone and find out what’s going on in their lives.' You could text people that but there’s nothing like seeing people in person."
Other big DAYS returns
In addition to Alfonso, Reeves, Konefal, and Ashford, several other former DAYS players will return when the soap says goodbye to Doug in December. Expect to see Gloria Loring (Liz Chandler), Stephen Schnetzer (Steven Olson), Martha Madison (Belle Black Brady), Brandon Beemer (Shawn-Douglas Brady), Lamon Archey (Eli Grant), Sal Stowers (Lani Price Grant), and Maree Cheatham (Marie Horton).
Archey and Stowers were back earlier this year, while stars like Loring and Schnetzer haven't been seen in Salem in decades.
