Days of our Lives comings and goings: Julie Dove leaves Connie behind...for now

With Days of our Lives' Connie Viniski apprehended and on her way to Bayview, Julie Dove's tenure as the delusional serial killer has come to a close.

After attempting to kill Ava and Stefan with a knife and Gabi and Melinda with a bomb, Connie tried to make her escape. However, Jada caught up with her outside the Brady Pub on the September 23, 2024, episode. That evening, Dove posted a farewell video on X (formerly Twitter) that she recorded on February 14, the day she taped her last scenes.

"I'm wrapping my run as Connie for now," Dove said. "You've probably seen today's episode, and I've gone to Bayview, so hopefully, we'll visit me, and maybe I can run into other Salemites who've been sent there. My dream is that Connie gets to have some therapy with Dr. Marlena Evans."

Dove went on to thank the cast and crew for being so kind to her during her run, marveling at the fact that she got a photo of herself in the Brady Pub. She then offered an inspirational message about following your dreams.

"I cannot tell you how great it is to have a dream and to not ever give up on it," Dove continued. "I went to college to be an actor, but I didn't start pursuing it until I was 31, and I'm 54 and doing exactly right now what I said I would do when I was 13 years old. So, no matter what it is you want to do...it doesn't have to be a job—it can just be a hobby—but follow your heart because I promise you it will bring you joy if you just let yourself be who you really want to be and be your true self."

Connie's reign of terror

Dove first appeared as Connie in 2023 as one of Sloan's clients—and Li Shin's blind date. When she returned to the scene in June of this year, we learned that Connie had become so obsessed with Li that she was the one who had killed him in a fit of passion. She eventually rented his old apartment and lived with a cardboard cutout version of Li.

To cover up her crime, Connie went on to stab Rafe Hernandez and kill Everett Lynch. As her final act, Connie tried and failed to off Gabi, Melinda, Ava, and Stefan.
