Days of our Lives stars marry off-screen
After a long engagement and even longer courtship, former Days of our Lives stars Shawn Christian and Arianne Zucker became husband and wife on August 17.
Zucker took to Instagram on August 23 to share pictures of the event and announce her new married status.
"It’s official! Mr & Mrs Christian!," Zucker wrote. "This is how we wedding! Action shot right in the middle of our entrance dance! 🤠 8/17/24 was filled with so much love with all our guests. We hope everyone felt like they were part of our wedding, not just invited! Our guests met new friends, families came together and love was everywhere in the air! This was such a special time for me and Shawn! We did it, babe! I love you so much! This truly is one of the most memorable times in my life! Soon to share….our wedding guest flash mob line dance."
The road to romance
Zucker and Christian met on the DAYS set, where she played Nicole Walker and he played Daniel Jonas. They have been together as a couple since 2013 but didn't get engaged until 2021. On-screen, Nicole and Daniel were engaged when a drunken Eric crashed his car into Daniel's car on New Year's Eve in 2015, killing Daniel. In 2016, Chloe gave birth to Nicole and Daniel's daughter, Holly, conceived via IVF.
Zucker, who was previously married to DAYS' Kyle Lowder (Rex Brady), with whom she shares a daughter, posted a video of her bridal shower in July, thanking her friends and loved ones for their support.
"I’m a little behind on posting, but I wanted to share what a lovely bridal shower I had in June with my bridesmaids! Thanks to my BFF for hosting such a beautiful night! It’s all happening! Thank you to my wonderful girlfriends, niece, and daughter for all your love!"
Zucker and Christian have also fled the Hollywood scene and now live in Lake Tahoe, as does Lowder, who moved there to be closer to his daughter, Isabella. Zucker was last seen as DAYS' Nicole on July 29.
