Days of our Lives started 2025 with a rocking party and a big reveal. That set off a heck of a new year in Salem and there is only more excitement in store in the coming months. Read on for a sneak peek at what you will see in Salem soon.
Days of our Lives turns 60 in a big way
On November 8, 2025, DAYS will celebrate 60 years as an American television mainstay that generations have loved. For this big event, Executive Producer Janet Drucker plans to bring past, present, and future together.

"It is going to be a big year honoring the show’s past and legacy while setting up new, eventful, and exciting stories," Drucker told TV Insider. "There is definitely a refocus and stronger storylines featuring our college-aged characters, as audiences are already getting a taste of with the Tate, Holly, and Sophia love triangle/baby story. We, of course, will stick with romance — Valentine’s Day, anniversaries, love triangles — plus a riveting whodunnit, and of course, small doses of humor Leo, Hattie, Bonnie, Susan, and Vivian always deliver."
EJ is in all sorts of trouble
EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) ended 2024 by losing his job to his ex-lover and ex-sister-in-law Belle Black (Martha Madison). However, in 2025 they can't seem to fight their attraction to each other anymore just in time for Belle's sister and EJ's ex-wife Sami (Alison Sweeney) to arrive back in Salem.
Sami will cause more problems than Belle and EJ can imagine, but that's nothing compared to the trouble EJ is in when someone shoots him, and he has to fight for his life. That will kick off a "Who Shot EJ?" story that will encompass all of Salem as the suspect list grows.
Wedding bell blues
Will Jada (Elia Cantu) realize she is about to marry another man with more than one identity? Her first marriage to Bobby Stein (Blake Berris) ended up also being a marriage to Everett Lynch, and she had no idea.
This time around, she is set to wed Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) but has no clue that the man she set a wedding date with is not Rafe at all. He is Rafe's doppelganger, Arnold Feniger. Expect much mayhem as Jada begins to suspect something is off with Rafe but can't quite put her finger on what it is.
Sizzling Salem stories on tap
Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) and Chad (Billy Flynn) can't seem to deny their attraction as the year begins, despite what she did to his family by impersonating dead Abigail. As Stephanie (Abigail Klein) realizes Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) is not the man of her dreams, she gets caught in a triangle with Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins) and Alex (Robert Scott Wilson). Young Holly (Ashley Puzemis) will find herself drawn to NuDoug (Peyton Meyer) now that Tate (Leo Howard) is otherwise occupied.
Brady (Eric Marstolf) and Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) find themselves frantically searching for a missing Rachel. Meanwhile, poor Marlena (Deidre Hall) will be desperate to find John (Drake Hogestyn) and enlist Steve's (Stephen Nichols) help. Too bad, the end result of this search will be devastating and bring a whole new story to the forefront.
