Days of our Lives' Bonnie Kiriakis thought she was heading for a Body and Soul wardrobe fitting but instead found herself at the bottom of an elevator shaft, fighting for her life.

Days of our Lives brings trouble to the Body and Soul set

While Bonnie survived her fall, she ended up with serious injuries in a hospital bed, sending fear into her husband Justin (Wally Kurth). All Bonnie wanted to do was learn her lines and go back to work, but Justin told her she'd never step foot on the Body and Soul set again.

Justin was even more alarmed when he learned that wardrobe director Richard had never sent her the text that had sent her to the elevator at the exact wrong time. Justin now believes Bonnie was targeted, and he is right. He doesn't even know that his son Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) is the intended next victim in a stalker's deranged and dirty game.

While the police search for whoever wants to hurt the Body and Soul cast, DAYS cast member Judi Evans is having fun with this latest plot.

Judi Evans takes it all in stride

The makeup department did an amazing job making Bonnie look bloodied and bruised after nearly losing her life. Evans seems to agree, as evidenced by this video on the official DAYS Instagram page.

"Behind the scenes: Bonnie may be feeling bruised and confused, but Judi Evans is taking one for the team!" the caption reads. "Special effects makeup by: @makeupbynataliethimm."

In the video, Evans is clad in Bonnie's hospital gown, robe, and a lot of makeup to make it look like she really took that fateful fall.

"Talk about getting beat up at work," Evans said, sounding a bit like the rough-around-the-edges Bonnie. "It's a rough job, but somebody's got to do it."

Evans seems to be having a much more carefree time at home than Bonnie is having in Salem. She posted an adorable video to her own Instagram page that proves it.

In the video, Evans is leisurely feeding her chickens, looking like she doesn't have a care in the world.

"Don’t you just love an 'all you can eat' buffet with a salad bar?" she asked as the chickens gathered around for their meal.

Perhaps Bonnie will take Justin's advice, quit her job, and live her own life of leisure as a Kiriakis wife.
