On the Tuesday, February 11, 2025, episode of Days of our Lives, the cast of Body and Soul got big news that had major consequences for all involved.

After months of trying to produce a soap that was plagued by behind-the-scenes danger, Abe (James Reynolds) and Kate (Lauren Koslow) decided it was time to call it quits. They refused to put people at risk any longer. Kate was happy with the money they made selling the rights back to the network, while Abe was just happy to have created a soap opera after years in law enforcement and politics.

However, they had to tell the cast their decision, which led to quite a few dilemmas for the people who worked for them. Would they move to Los Angeles to be a part of their soap opera or stay in Salem and move on with their lives? Johnny (Carson Boatman) immediately knew he wasn't going to uproot Chanel (Raven Bowens), but what about the others?

Well, Leo (Greg Rikaart) was ready to write remotely but was summarily fired and Bonnie (Judi Evans) wasn't sure what to do.

Joy knows a secret

The news told us that Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins) remained determined to hold onto Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) no matter what. She was well aware that he was with Stephanie (Abigail Klein) now but tried to talk him into moving. She also tried to get him to make big romantic plans with her while being passive-aggressive with Stephanie and giving her some side-eye.

Stephanie is going to have some big competition on her hands and doesn't even know it because Joy is not going to give up without a fight — even if it means the end of her soap opera career.

Kayla's latest drama

Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) had no problem leaving the soap world behind. She only took the part temporarily and was more than happy to let Bonnie move to LA and continue playing Cassandra. She was ready to get back to business as the hospital's chief of staff.

Too bad, that will be easier said than done. Dr.Seth Burns (Ken Colquitt) resigned from his medical job but had some bad news for Kayla. The hospital was about to declare bankruptcy. Uh-oh.
