Leo also believes Mr. Von Leuschner is a dangerous man, but Dimitri lands a long-awaited answer from Gwen, nonetheless

While Gwen says, "Yes!" to Dimitri's proposal, a lurking Leo lands on a shocking sight while searching the DiMera tunnels

Though Kristen later puts Leo on notice, she and E.J. find themselves at his mercy, and everyone knows Matty always makes things about himself

Marlena's surprised when the unlikely duo of E.J. and Kristen asks for her hypnosis help after their harrowing experience

An unknowing Nicole remains horrified by E.J.'s actions and explains her fed-up feelings to former hubby Eric

Comfort leads to kissing for Eric and Nicole, while a concerned Chanel does her best at comforting her devastated mother

A really remorseful, jittery Jerry talks to Theo, while Paulina lands a Lani-sized surprise sure to strengthen her shattered spirits

Lani lands her freedom for the Fourth of July, but her independence takes a backseat so she can make an inquisition into Abe's case

Lani's surely suspicious of Jerry, and Eli is inclined to agree, especially after they discover their skittish key witness is an actor

Despite their pain, Eli and Lani take time to honor their anniversary, while a wily Whitney offers her prayers and pity to a pained Paulina

Shawn hitting the bottle continues paining Belle, while Chanel and Talia take a step toward leaving some of their pain behind them

A concerned Kate hopes that nobody will learn she's behind Harris' attempt to abscond with the abominable Ms. Megan DiMera

Still, a reprogramed Harris' actions get out of control, and shots are fired during Stefan and Gabi's engagement party

A Salemite is struck by his bullet, and the worst is believed, while Rafe believes that Li is behind Harris' hypnotic hysterics

Of course, Li claims his innocence, but that doesn't stop Stefan and Gabi from giving it another go to make him confess

While Kate continues to worry about Harris confessing, she and E.J. make a macabre unearthing when, expecting Megan, they find Gabi instead
