To say Chad is crushed by Abigail's murder is a massive understatement, and he can barely cope with the consuming grief

Chad also wants answers, but first comes a time of mourning to say goodbye to his departed wife, who he pledges to love forever

A parent's worst nightmare comes true for Jack and Jennifer, who return to Salem to see their daughter one last time

As Abigail's distraught parents ponder how anyone could do this to their daughter, the police start to sleuth

The Salem P.D. is dedicated to putting in the leg work to solve Abigail's murder, but, like most Salem crimes, this one is complicated

There are several hands in the potential suspect cookie jar, which could cause fingering the culprit to be complex

Gwen gets another prison visit from old pal Leo, and the two terrible troublemakers point fingers at one another

While Gwen and Leo believe the other might be a murderer, Chad suspects lushy Lucas could have killed his wife

As a nearly inconsolable Chad confronts Kate, Lucas has seemingly slipped back into bad behavior by hitting the bottle and blacking out

Though not everything is as it seems in Salem, and Lucas certainly doesn't seem to remember a thing about his bender

His lack of memory could prove problematic for Lucas, while problems arise for Gabi via Li's latest (and not so greatest) intel

In the wake of all the problems he's faced over the past several months, Tripp chooses to make a major move

Having spoken to his half-siblings while he recovered, Tripp shares with Steve and Kayla that he'd like to spend more time with them

Tripp's news is bittersweet for the Johnsons, while Ava isn't exactly ready to see her only surviving son go so far away

Still, there's a lot of love in the air when Ava, Steve, and Kayla say their goodbyes to Tripp as he sets off see Stephanie and Joey

There's no denying the love between Allie and Chanel as they repair their bond, while Belle's bond with her father continues to take a nosedive

Despite John's deep disapproval, Belle's love life becomes even more complicated when she and E.J.'s passion consumes them
