It's strange times in Salem, indeed, as Allie observes a passionate peck between Johnny and Gabi and goes straight to Chanel with the tantalizing tidbit

The soon-to-be ex-Mrs. DiMera doesn't take Allie's news lightly and feels the burden of her life (and heart) breaking apart

A consumed Chanel hopes her mother's love can help heal her pain as she turns to Paulina for comfort and confessions

Paulina still has a secret she should confess, but having made strides with her daughter, she doesn't want to rock the boat

Paulina is rocked when she comes face to face with a formidable foe, and another adversary extends an olive branch

Pondering all the pain she produced while possessed, a mortified Marlena hopes to make amends with Paulina

Paulina certainly has her pick of problems at the moment, while a caring moment with Abe comes at the perfect time for Chanel

It's bad timing for Johnny to receive a reminder that he still has a film to deliver, but a perturbed producer appears nonetheless

Johnny must scheme to secure his interests, while Gabi and Jake's scheme to secure Johnny's shares continues

Gabi's grand desire to rule Salem's two big businesses by doing whatever it takes may take a turn for the worse

That is, Gabi and Jake might not entirely see eye to eye when she goes big instead of going home empty-handed

As Gabi's risky business moves cause concern for Jake, the judge rules a concerning verdict in the case against E.J.

Belle remains bothered by E.J.'s explosive behavior, but she still believes in her brother-in-law's innocence

A guilty verdict aggravates E.J., who is sentenced to a stint in Statesville, though both he and Belle aren't throwing in the towel so quicky

Believing there's more to the story, answers will continue to be sought until E.J.'s sentence can be overturned

So much for trusting in turning over a new leaf, because Rafe believes in his girlfriend's guilt more and more as time goes on

In fact, an increasingly agitated Ava continues to execute her retaliation against Rafe and Nicole via a deceptive dinner date

Ava's hands are full of all sorts of awful deeds as she helps Gwen on her quest to secure Xander and squash Abigail's search

Xander's aghast when Chad communicates Abigail's mulling that a masquerade might be going on in Salem again

Chad is quick to help Xander connect the dots as to who would have the most to gain if Sarah said a final farewell

Believing that Gwen is his future, Xander has a hard time coming to terms that she might be posing as Sarah

Abigail comes up against Ava posing as Sarah, though before she can come forth with the news, she's knocked out by Gwen

Kristen will soon confront kin, but it won't be a happy family reunion, while Craig Wesley reunites with his loved ones in Salem

Nancy may believe her own marriage is on the rocks, but she certainly has confidence in Chloe reuniting with Brady

Brady listens to Nancy as she talks second chances between her and Chloe, while Chloe's surprised by content when she becomes privy to a private exchange

Chloe's head will continue to spin as Craig opens up to her, and the fallout will affect their family forever
