Between Satan's presence and many believing a blood-covered Brady slayed Philip, Salem has sunk into chaos

Never one to hold her tongue, an infuriated Kate gives Brady and Chloe a tongue-lashing they're likely not going to forget

Still, Chloe believes in Brady and attempts to help him recall the events of the evening down by the riverside with Philip

Legal eagle Belle also becomes invested in her brother's case and pulls a page from her father's handbook by sleuthing for clues

Belle teams up with her husband to tackle the investigation, but Shawn is surely shaken by a dreadful discovery

Eli and Lani are also on the case but must maneuver meticulously to avoid setting off landmine-like Melinda Trask, who's razor-focused on the case

An already anxious Victor and Kate dread the decision they must make once Philip's prosthetic leg is dredged from the river

Always set with a secret (or ten), Kate shares that she threatened Brady, which causes concern for Roman and Rex

Kate may have shocked Roman and Rex, but she's on the receiving end upon opening a door, only to discover a staggering sight

An impatient Lucas lambastes Rafe for not arresting Brady, while Sami's not wasting time in officially ending things with E.J.

Allie believes that now is the perfect time for a new beginning for her parents and lets Lucas know it

Unluckily for Lucas, Sami doesn't do things the easy way and plants a passionate one on her soon-to-be ex-husband

Satan continues to have Susan shaking in her skirt, so, like a good son, E.J. steps up to squash his mother's concerns

Susan proves that a mother may know best when she encourages Elvis Jr. to express his true feelings about his soon-to-be ex-wife

Sami's still steaming about her discovery in E.J.'s bedroom, and it's like nuclear war between her and Nicole (again)

Rafe is surely rattled by Nicole's reaction to their latest run-in, while Gwen works overtime to ensure Xander and Rex don't run into one another

Alas, Gwen's hopes are dashed when Xander and Rex come face to face in Horton Town Square, and Sarah quickly becomes the subject

Xander's angered when a puzzled Rex really has nothing to offer in terms of Sarah's whereabouts

Rex attempts to make it loud and clear that he has no idea, but an enraged Xander doesn't believe him one bit

Gwen gets more than a bit antsy during Xander and Rex's confrontation, but her Sarah-sized secret may remain safe (for now)

Ben and Ciara have no idea how unsafe they are around Marlena, but John is soon to spill the Satanic secret to them

A spry Satan stirs up some discord for Ciara and Ben, while John and Shawn discover the Westons are AWOL

As Satan has Ciara and Ben a bit standoffish with one another, John arrives to confront his hellish foe

Satan tries to ensure Ben and Ciara see John as a threat, but the good agent finally gets the upper hand on the devil

Ben and Ciara are devastated by the truth about Marlena and vow to help John save her soul from the devil

The bell rings for another battle between good and evil as John, Shawn, and Ben are ready to duke it out with the devil
