Gabi's life is on the line as a cagey and cornered Commissioner Raines holds her at gunpoint

Hope, Rafe, and Eli rush to save Gabi, but they may not make it, as Raines is quickly unraveling

It's tense when rescuers square off with Raines, but in the end, Gabi is saved, and Raines is taken down

Due to Raines's downfall, Abe's good name is restored, which leads to a joyous reunion with Theo

Tripp's financial stability becomes less stable, but Theo's not so down with Claire's suggestion that Tripp move in with them

While Tripp and Claire become closer, which a green-eyed Theo notices, Tripp attempts to make amends with Kayla

Kayla has more than few choice words for Tripp as she figures out how they could possibly move forward

John and Marlena decide to go forward with their escape plan, but things go from bad to worse...

With the escape attempt thwarted, Hattie has a new idea for John and Marlena's treatment -- electroshock therapy

It's comes down to the wire for John and Marlena as they're strapped onto beds, and their treatment is about to begin

Hattie's also determined to take down Andre, as she's still bitter toward him for ruining her life years earlier

A press conference held by Andre sets the stage for many dramatic events, and Hattie has even bigger plans

Andre announces Kate's infidelity with Roman, but Hattie announces that Andre is insane, and he is sent to Bayview, too

As a scorned Andre runs into familiar faces at the sanitarium, Hattie remains in the hot seat with a suspicious Paul

Paul places a call to Hope for help, but it may end up being Brady who blows the whistle, as Hattie can't keep it together with him

Hattie attempts to hold it together, but Bonnie also might be blindsided by a blunder of her own...

Like Paul with Hattie, Hope can't shake the feeling there's something off about her old friend "Adrienne"

While Hope confronts Bonnie, the real Adrienne is confronted with a possible glimmer of hope in the form of a new friend

However, Adrienne's new friend might end up being an old foe to someone else in Salem

Old flames Roman and Kate continue to get close, especially when he supports her during Andre's announcement

It's that old butterfly feeling for Eric when he and Nicole find themselves once again bonding
