Days of our Lives summary for the week of January 13, 2025

Philip worried that Xander would kill him if he learned the truth, so Kate ordered Philip to track down Stephanie and keep her from telling anyone about the forged letter. Stephanie told Sarah the truth. After Philip appealed to Sarah to keep quiet, Sarah agreed to keep the truth to herself. Sarah explained to Stephanie that she felt Philip was a good check on Xander’s worst instincts.

Maggie warned Xander not to lash out at Philip because he was Xander’s brother. Xander promised Maggie that he would make an effort to be civil to Philip. Xander made peace with Philip, and they bonded over their shared desire to prove their worth to Victor.

Marlena was unable to reach John and tell him about Catherine’s story of survival. Steve was thrilled to hear that John had been a hero instead of an assassin. Worried, Steve called Shane to ask about John.

Chad was surprised to run into Cat in the town square. Cat explained that she was back in town to supervise Felicity, and she promised to keep her distance. Cat told Chad about her possible job, and Chad noted that Marlena had a history of giving people a second chance.

Jada continued to be suspicious of Rafe’s disappearance. When Jada followed up with Steve, he confirmed that Rafe was not on a case for Black Patch. Jada went to the mansion to confront EJ, and Arnold exited the tunnels while she was there. EJ and Arnold told Jada that EJ had hired Rafe to track down Sloan Petersen. A suspicious Jada peppered “Rafe” with questions, but she seemed to believe him. EJ agreed to let Arnold continue to impersonate Rafe as long as he did not make a move on Jada.

Kristen told Rachel that there was no chance that she and Brady would be a family again. Rachel agreed to talk to a therapist but ran away from home instead. At the penthouse, Brady told Ava that Rachel had sent the threatening texts. Ava attempted to break things off with Brady so he could prioritize his daughter. Brady argued that he did not want to give in to Rachel’s demands about his dating life again. When Brady and Ava started to kiss, Kristen barged into the penthouse to proclaim that Rachel was missing. Brady called the police and filed a report.

Tate told Holly that no matter what happened with the baby, he did not want to lose her. Holly said she felt the same way. Doug interrupted, and Holly introduced him to Tate. After Tate left for Sophia’s doctor's appointment, Holly gave Doug the money he needed to pay off his debt. Holly followed Doug to the drop site, and she yelled at the thug when Doug paid him off. Doug later left a voicemail for Leo, asking for help to track down Julie’s necklace.

Tate accompanied Sophia to her doctor’s appointment, and they saw their baby on the ultrasound. When Tate and Sophia went to the cafe after, they looked at the photo and talked about their relief that the baby was healthy. Holly interrupted and asked to see the ultrasound photo.

Javi and Kerry agreed to take their physical relationship slow. Over breakfast, Javi and Kerry disagreed about the humor of the Lady Whistleblower column. Kerry admitted he was jealous of Leo, but Javi stressed that they were only friends. Gabi bonded with Kerry over their mutual hatred of Leo. Motivated, Gabi asked Javi to reconsider his friendship with Leo. Javi refused.

Leo pitched Abe on his idea to resurrect Charlemagne on Body & Soul. Abe resisted rehiring Hattie, but he promised to talk to Kate about it. Abe told Leo that Lady Whistleblower had a connection to Rochester. When Leo went to talk to Rafe, he saw Javi in Kerry’s Rochester hoodie. Furious that Javi may have conned him, Leo complained to Marlena. Marlena pointed out that a hoodie was insufficient evidence to prove that Javi was Lady Whistleblower.

When Marlena and Leo ran into Javi and Kerry in the square, they learned that Kerry was from Rochester. Leo set a trap for Kerry. Leo told Javi and Kerry that he had pitched an idea for a devil possession storyline for the show. Leo went to Javi's house when Kerry posted a new column with the scoop. While Javi and Kerry were attempting to have sex for the first time, Leo stormed in and accused Kerry of being Lady Whistleblower.
