Here's your Days of our Lives recap for Tuesday, April 15, 2025 when Sami and Rafe reconnect, Stephanie advises Jada, and Kristen pulls a gun.
What Happened on Days of our Lives

At the police station, Kristen woke up in the interrogation room when Melinda brought her coffee and a pastry. “Those idiots kept me in this hellhole overnight,” Kristen complained. Kristen thanked Melinda, and she asked for news. Melinda showed Kristen the news article about the takeover of DiMera Enterprises. “This cannot be true,” Kristen protested. “I’m afraid it is. While you were held in here overnight, Xander and Philip seized the opportunity and took over DIMera and ousted you as CEO,” Melinda said. Kristen muttered under her breath.
“On top of this nightmare of being accused of attempted murder of my own brother, I have to deal with this?” Kristen yelped. Kristen dropped her head in her hands. “Why haven’t you gotten me out of this place yet?” Kristen asked. Melinda reminded Kristen of the law, and she noted that Kristen needed to stay in custody until the ballistics report was back. Kristen asked how long it took to run the tests.
Shawn returned to the bullpen with the ballistic report. “Is the bullet a match for Kristen’s gun?” JJ asked. Shawn and JJ reviewed the report, and then they went into the interrogation room to update Kristen. “The bullet suffered a lot of damage during surgery,” Shawn said. Melinda confirmed for Kristen that it was a common issue. “When the bullet is compromised, it makes it harder to determine if it came from a specific firearm,” JJ said. “But ballistics was able to make a determination?” Melinda asked. Shawn confirmed that the gun was not a match to the bullet.
“You no longer have any reason to suspect my client in the shooting of her brother,” Melinda said. Kristen stood up to leave. “I’m in the clear,” Kristen announced. JJ disagreed. JJ argued that Kristen could have used a different gun. Melinda laughed. “Are you two actually detectives? Because this seems a lot less like police work and more like speculative fiction,” Melinda said. Melinda argued that the police could not hold Kristen any longer. Shawn agreed, and he advised Kristen not to leave town.
“Don’t worry, I won’t. Thanks to you two keeping me here overnight, I now have to wrest control of my company from a couple of foaming at the mouth goons,” Kristen grumbled. As Kristen grabbed her purse, she asked for her gun back. “It’s all I have left of my mother,” Kristen said. Shawn noted that it was no longer evidence, so JJ handed the gun to Kristen.
After Kristen had left, Shawn asked JJ if he wanted to eliminate Kristen from the list of suspects. With a shake of his head, JJ noted that they only had speculation against Kristen, not evidence. Shawn asked JJ if they should look at Gabi. “I’ve just been so focused on Kristen being the culprit, I kind of put that on the back burner,” JJ admitted. JJ agreed that it was time to question Gabi.
Stephanie sat on her couch and talked to Jada about the Titan takeover of DiMera Enterprises. With a grin, Stephanie said that she was happy that she no longer had to deal with TItan PR, and she could instead spend the morning drinking coffee with her friend. Jada thanked Stephanie for having let her stay at her apartment. “I don’t want to make [Rafe] angrier with me than he already is,” Jada said. “You mean by staying at Shawn’s?” Stephanie asked. Jada nodded yes.
“Have you made any inroads with Rafe since you told him what happened with Shawn?” Stephanie asked. Jada shook her head no. Jada told Stephanie that Rafe had gone to Shawn, and Shawn had said that he thought he had gotten through to Rafe, but Rafe had abruptly left.
“How am I gonna convince Rafe that I still love him with all my heart and that whatever happened between Shawn and I...it was just a mistake and that it will never happen again?” Jada asked. “You can’t give up hope,” Stephanie said. Stephanie urged Jada to give Rafe time to get past his initial anger.
“How did you feel when you thought Rafe had cheated on you?” Stephanie asked. “It was like everything I knew between him and me was a lie,” Jada said. With a shrug, Jada noted that her distress was why she had slept with Shawn. “So you can imagine how Rafe is feeling right now. It’s like the bottom dropped out of his life,” Stephanie counseled. Jada groaned. Stephanie argued that Rafe was having difficulty getting past Jada’s affair because he was so in love with her.
“It is because he loves you so much that he’s going to come around. Eventually,” Stephanie assured Jada. With a sigh, Jada said she did not know. Stephanie said she was sure that Rafe would calm down and reunite with Jada. “Unlike a lot of men, [Rafe] is emotionally intelligent. Or so you’ve told me,” Stephanie said. “He is. Or at least he was. Until now,” Jada agreed. Stephanie argued that Rafe would come around.
“You two are going to find your way back to each other,” Stephanie said. “I pray that you’re right,” Jada said. With a nod, Jada agreed that Rafe was a good man, and he was more likely to move past his anger than most men. “I just wish we could speed things up a little bit so that we can get back to how things were,” Jada said. Stephanie urged Jada to take the initiative with Rafe. When Jada worried aloud that Rafe did not want to talk to her, Stephanie insisted that Jada push Rafe to talk.
“The silence is driving you crazy,” Stephanie said. Jada agreed. Stephanie told Jada to text Rafe because he might be anxious for Jada to reach out to him. Jada texted Rafe, and she asked him to meet her at Small Bar.
In the Hernandez kitchen, Leo ate breakfast as Gabi stared at her phone. Leo and Gabi bickered about the syrup. “I know you’re just lashing out because you’re soon to be out of a job,” Leo said. Gabi asked Leo why he believed that. Leo held up the newspaper headline about the Titan takeover. “Xander and Philip are very interested in hanging on to Gabi Chic. They told me themselves. They see it as a burgeoning global brand,” Gabi said. Leo raised an eyebrow.
“You tried to walk away with it, but they wouldn’t let you, would they? How did I deduce this? Well, for one thing, both Xander and Philip are quoted as saying that they are committed to staying in the Gabi Chic business; it’s just that you’re not mentioned,” Leo said. Leo predicted that the Kiriakis family would dump Gabi for someone younger and more eager to get ahead for less. Gabi argued that the company would want to keep the company’s namesake.
“For you, it could be worse. You could be Kristen. You could be losing your job and under suspicion for attempted murder,” Leo said. As Leo poured syrup on his waffle, he confessed that he had believed that Gabi had shot EJ. “Now that Kristen is in custody, I guess there goes that theory,” Leo said.
Down the hallway, Javi walked into Rafe’s bedroom, and he was startled to see Rafe naked in bed with Sami. “Oh my god, I am so sorry!” Javi said. Rafe introduced Javi to his ex-wife, Sami. Sami giggled. “Nice to meet you. I’ve heard a lot about you,” Javi said. “Oh! I’m sure all of it is terrible,” Sami joked. Javi assured Sami he had heard good things. Javi let the twosome know that there were freshly made waffles in the kitchen.
“So, does this mean that you didn’t work things out?” Javi said. Rafe confirmed he had not worked things out with Jada. Javi started to ask a question, but he cut himself off. Sami phrased the question for Javi, and she asked Rafe if he had slept with her to get revenge on Jada for having cheated on him. “Shawn’s your sister’s ex?” Javi asked. “Yeah. Also he’s my cousin. It’s very complicated,” Sami said. When Javi argued that Jada’s one night stand had been a mistake, Rafe explained that Jada had made that mistake again.
Sami offered to leave Rafe alone to talk with Javi, but he declined. “No. You stay,” Rafe said. Javi excused himself and left. Sami laughed as Rafe apologized for the intrusion. Sami noted that it was refreshing to have been walked in on and not feel guilty. “I’m not doing anything wrong,” Sami said. “There’s a first time for everything,” Rafe said. After a moment, Rafe stressed that he had not slept with Sami to hurt Jada.
“We both had a tough day yesterday. And I needed a distraction,” Sami said. “Mission accomplished,” Rafe said. Sami cautioned Rafe against feeling guilty for what they had done. “I did feel a lot of things, but guilt was not one of them,” Rafe confirmed. Sami kissed Rafe. After they had sex, Rafe wondered aloud about what would happen next. “Now I go back home,” Sami said. Rafe invited her to go with her to Italy, but he declined.
“And I feel like the only reason you asked me is because you knew that I’d say no,” Rafe added. Sami smiled. “I do know that there is one compelling reason for us not to get back together,” Sami said. With a smirk, Rafe asked Sami if she was saying that the sex was better when they were not together. “Also when we fight,” Sami countered. Rafe chuckled. “You mean so much to me,” Sami whispered. “You mean the world to me,” Rafe said. Rafe leaned in to kiss Sami, but she squirmed away and asked for waffles.
Javi stumbled into the kitchen, and Leo asked about Rafe. Javi told Leo and Gabi that he had walked in on Rafe in bed with his ex. “If it wasn’t Hope and it wasn’t Nicole, that only leaves one person who hates my guts,” Leo said. Sami walked into the room. Leo forced a smile for Sami, and Gabi greeted her. Sami told Gabi that she had spoken to Arianna, and she hoped that Arianna could visit Sami in Italy over the summer. “Well, it’s my hope that she’ll be coming here to stay with me,” Gabi countered. “Maybe she can do both,” Sami said. Gabi asked Sami if she was in town because of EJ.
“That is one of the reasons I came back,” Sami admitted. “Well, I’d say I’m sorry about it, but that would be a bold-faced lie,” Gabi said. Sami smirked. “It’s amazing how some people just can’t change. You’re just all sweetness and light, aren’t you?” Sami said. Gabi and Sami stared at one another, smiles plastered on their faces, until Rafe joined everyone in the kitchen. Gabi left for work. Rafe announced that he needed to go into work, and he offered to give Sami a ride. With a grin, Sami sat down and said, “I haven’t had my waffles yet.”
After Gabi and Rafe left, Sami dug into a plate of waffles and complimented Javi on his cooking. “Look, Sami. May I call you Sami?” Leo asked. Sami said no. With a sigh, Leo said he understood Sami hated him for all he had done to Will.
“But I assure you, I have done a lot of soul-searching since then. I’ve worked really hard toward becoming a better person, and I will never again come between your son and his husband or anyone and their husband,” Leo said. “That’s good to know,” Sami said. Leo announced that he had found his true love, and he put his arm around Javi. Sami raised an eyebrow. “You’re his true love?” Sami asked. “It feels that way,” Javi said. Sami smiled.
“When you really love someone, you have to know everything about them and love them anyway. So you’re saying you know everything he’s done? All the things he’s done to hurt so many people, including my son Will. How he tried to destroy his marriage to Sonny? How he set up this terrible scam to accuse Sonny of sexual harassment?” Sami said. “Yeah, I already know all about that,” Javi confirmed. Javi said he knew about who Leo had been and who Leo was today.
“There are no secrets between us. So whatever you’re about to say is not going to change anything one bit,” Javi said. Sami sighed. Javi stressed that he and Leo were happy together. “And nothing you can say can change that,” Javi added. “You’re smitten. I know how it feels. Oh, boy do I know. And I love that feeling. It is a wonderful feeling. Thank you so much for the waffles. The only problem with that is it doesn’t exactly help you think straight, does it?” Sami said. Sami wished Javi luck with Leo.
At Stephanie’s apartment, Jada told Stephanie that Rafe had not responded to her text about a meeting. “Although maybe that is the answer. Maybe he still doesn’t want anything to do with me,” Jada said. “Or maybe he’s getting ready for work, and he is meeting you there,” Stephanie said. Stephanie encouraged Jada to go to the bar and wait for Rafe, but Jada said she believed Rafe would be a no-show. “Even so, you won’t know unless you go there. Come on. What do you have to lose?” Stephanie said.
At DiMera Enterprises, Kristen marched into her old office with Melinda hot on her heels. “You know you shouldn’t be here,” Melinda argued. “I shouldn’t? Oh my god, this is my office!” Kristen countered. Melinda reminded Kristen that she was no longer the CEO. “I am only leveling with you because I am your lawyer and as your friend. This is trespassing,” Melinda warned Kristen. Kristen refused to give up without a fight. Xander sauntered in.
“What are you doing in my office?” Xander asked. Melinda announced that as the chief legal counsel for the company, she had been advising Kristen to vacate the premises. “You, Ms. Trask, you’re no longer our legal counsel,” Xander said. Xander explained that the Kiriakis family valued loyalty, and because Melinda had represented Kristen as her legal counsel, that disqualified Melinda. “But surely you understand that my job, as a lawyer, is to represent a variety of clients. I have no loyalties,” Melinda argued. Kristen slapped Melinda’s shoulder.
“So you say. In any case, your services are no longer required,” Xander said. Melinda started to argue, but Xander warned her he would call security. Melinda walked out. “So what the hell are you trying to pull, Xander? How did you manage to take over DiMera?” Kristen asked. With a shrug, Xander noted that he and Philip had taken advantage of EJ and Kristen’s incapacitation. “Speaking of windows of opportunity, I have one,” Kristen said. Kristen pulled out her gun and pointed it at Xander.
At the Small Bar, Jada stared at her phone as she waited for Rafe to show up. “Did you seriously think that Rafe was going to come?” Jada muttered. Rafe walked in and stared at Jada from across the room.
Gabi walked into the police station and told JJ that she had received his text but that she needed to go to work. “I don’t know if you’ve heard, but DiMera has been taken over by Titan, and I have to figure out where I stand,” Gabi said. “Sorry, that sounds stressful,” JJ said. Gabi asked JJ why he had wanted to see her. JJ escorted Gabi into the interrogation room to talk privately.
“Kristen’s been cleared,” JJ said. Gabi expressed surprise. “We have to start looking at other suspects,” JJ said. Gabi asked why JJ had called her into the station. “You’re one of them,” JJ said.
