Days of our Lives' Great Holly and Tate Debate — Do they really belong together? 

Days of our Lives' Holly and Tate were the only (on-screen) kids in town when they first met each other in the fall of 2023. The kids who played together as toddlers met as teens and Tate was immediately smitten. Holly had a crush on Johnny DiMera at the time, but once that ended, she was all in for Tate. However, sometimes first romances are not meant to be.

Trouble from the start on Days of our Lives

Holly (Ashley Puzemis) and Tate's (Leo Howard) first official date was at The Bistro to ring in 2024, but things went terribly awry when Holly took what she thought was a pill to relax, but it ended up being laced with opioids. Holly nearly died and entered a months-long coma while Tate went to jail when EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) falsely accused him of giving them the drugs.

Once Holly woke and Tate was released, their parents forbid them from seeing one another, so Holly and Tate needed to sneak around. By then, we met two other teens, Aaron (Louis Tomeo) and Sophia (Madelyn Kientz; now Rachel Boyd), who became Holly and Sophia's prom dates. Holly and Tate planned to swap their date at the prom, but things didn't work out as they wanted.

After a summer sneaking around at the Horton Cabin and a fall of breakups and makeups, Holly and Tate are together again. However, that doesn't mean they don't have roaming eyes.

During Holly and Tate's fall split, Tate slept with Holly's former BFF Sophia and she became pregnant. Tate and Sophia want to give the baby up for adoption and have been growing closer as they go through her pregnancy together. A lonely Holly has befriended newcomer Doug Williams III (Peyton Meyer), who has already confessed that he has feelings for Holly.

Might Holly and Tate decide that first love isn't always true love or the love you are meant to be with forever? With Tate and Sophia bonding over their unborn child, Holly is feeling left out in the cold. However, she has definitely noticed Doug's handsome looks and seems to get along with him better than she does Tate.

Is it time for Holly and Tate to call it quits for good and admit that they don't only have eyes for each other after all?
