Days of our Lives' Chanel is now happily married to Johnny DiMera, and they are trying to start a family, but are running into trouble. But let's not forget that Chanel was once in love with Johnny's twin sister, Allie.

A Days of our Lives roommate connection

Allie (Lindsay Arnold) and Chanel (Raven Bowens) broke up when Chanel learned that Allie had slept with Alex. Allie then decided to leave town, and Chanel fell back in love with Johnny (Carson Boatman), whom she briefly wed before he became possessed by the devil and broke things off under Satan's influence. (Salem sure seems like fun, right?)

Allie and Chanel were old pals from their college days, partying in Europe, two little rich girls living their best life. When they both arrived in Salem, they discovered an attraction to one another that they tried to deny, but they eventually gave in and even had a threesome with Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) before Allie had sex with him on her own months later.

Allie took off back to Europe with her son Henry in tow, as Lindsay Arnold chose to leave the soap and Los Angeles. Although Allie hasn't returned to Salem, Arnold returned to L.A. When she did, she needed a new place to stay and found the perfect solution.

Roomies on-screen and off

While Allie and Chanel were roommates in the apartment where Li Shin was eventually killed, Arnold and Raven Bowens are now roommates in real life. As Bowens told Soap Opera Digest, the living arrangements were Arnold's idea, but it's worked out perfectly.

"We have fun," Bowens said. "We make TikToks. We have dinner parties. We do all kinds of silly things. I’d been living by myself for a few years, and I didn’t think I wanted a roommate. So initially I said, 'You can stay for a couple months, and we’ll see how it goes.’ But we have so much fun, and I feel like the energy is so good in the apartment just in general that I was like, 'Oh, I actually don’t mind having a roommate and sharing space with someone.'"

Bowens admits it doesn't hurt that she and Arnold have similar personalities.

"We’re both on the bubbly side. We’re more up type of people," she said. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen Lindsay in a bad mood, which is shocking."

With the actresses being so close and Arnold back in Los Angeles, will we ever see Allie and Chanel together again in Salem? That would certainly complicate things for Johnny and Chanel.
