3 BIG Days of our Lives Takeaways, March 5: Consequential decisions throughout Salem

On the Wednesday, March 5, 2025, episode of Days of our Lives, the Kiriakis brothers made another move, Ava let loose on Kristen, and Marlena broke terrible news.

With Body and Soul moving to California and some of its stars staying in Salem, two of them had to find work and turned to the Kiriakis brothers to find some. Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) was surprised when Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins) asked him for a job, considering how angry at him she was over his breakup with Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin). Xander (Paul Telfer) was just as surprised as Philip when Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) asked him for a job.

However, both men decided to be altruistic and hire the two unemployed souls. When Philip and Xander learned what they did, they worried about how Alex and Joy would get along. Alex and Joy wondered the same thing when they ran into one another in Horton Square and shared their new career news.

Ava surprises Belle

Belle (Martha Madison) was chomping at the bit to prosecute Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) and EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) for leaving Ava (Tamara Braun) hostage tied to a wheelchair, but Ava had some bad news as they dined at The Brady Pub. She wasn't pressing charges so that CPS wouldn't get wind of another incident and take Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater) away from Kristen and Brady (Eric Martsolf).

Belle was disappointed, but Kristen was thrilled. She even walked up to the table and taunted the women. However, Kristen wasn't singing the same tune after Ava turned around and slapped her straight across the face. That seems to be becoming a habit between these two women.

Marlena's bad news

Marlena (Deidre Hall) was ready to do the digging and find John (the late Drake Hogestyn) with or without the ISA's help, but first, she had to tell John's children what was going on. When Brady stopped into her office, Marlena told him that his dad was missing. Brady was devastated but offered comfort to Marlena.

Brady offered to call Paul (Christopher Sean) and tell him about their dad, but Marlena took on the task of telling Belle. She summoned Belle to her office and scared her daughter. When Belle saw the look on Marlena's face, she knew something was terribly wrong. Marlena confirmed Belle's fears and told her that she had news about John.
