3 BIG Days of our Lives Takeaways, February 26: Kristen tries the truth, Gabi's daring move, Belle's shock and horror

On the Wednesday, February 26, 2025, episode of Days of our Lives, Kristen pleaded with Brady, Gabi had a bright idea, and Belle confronted EJ.

Days of our Lives highlights

Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) was determined to get her mother out of jail, save herself, and protect her daughter all at the same time. That was a tall order, but she gave it the old college try. Kristen marched right down to the police station, knowing she could be a wanted woman to reason with Brady (Eric Martsolf).

Brady didn't want to hear Kristen's excuses for leaving Ava (Tamara Braun) at Aremid gagged and tied to an old wheelchair. Brady was ready to give Kristen a piece of his mind when he led her into the interrogation room under false pretenses, but she explained herself instead.

She didn't tell anyone about Ava because she feared what would happen to Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater) for conspiring with Rachel Blake (Roslyn Gentle). When she learned CPS was gunning for her and Brady, Kristen knew she had done the right thing. She did her best to convince Brady that telling the authorities the truth would only get their precocious kidnapping daughter in trouble.

Belle's anger and fury

Before his chat with Kristen, Brady filled Belle (Martha Madison) in on everything — including the fact that EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) knew that Ava was in Aremid and didn't rescue her. Belle didn't believe it at first, but Brady was convincing, saying he trusted Ava much more than he would ever trust EJ.

Belle ran straight to the DiMera mansion to confront EJ, but of course, he denied everything. Belle accused him of putting on quite an act, but EJ didn't break character. Too bad it didn't do him any good because Belle remained furious.

Gabi gets the DNA

Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) wasted no time telling Arnold (Galen Gering) that she knew he wasn't actually Rafe. Arnold denied Gabi's accusations, so she put him to the test by speaking Spanish. Arnold failed the test, so Gabi took things a step further. She told Arnold he had something in his hair so she could pull a strand right out of his head to run a DNA test.

Arnold panicked but was relieved when Rita (Maggie Carney) showed up to tell him EJ was whisking him out of town. Instead, she tased him after watching over the real Rafe. When Jada (Elia Cantu) and Shawn (Brandon Beemer) arrived at the Hernandez house, they found a man who claimed not to know who Rafe was.
