3 BIG Days of our Lives takeaways, February 20: Finding Ava, EJ's secret, Jada's heartache

On the Thursday, February 20, 2025, episode of Days of our Lives, Brady rescued Ava, EJ had a confession to make, and Javi told Jada the truth.

Days of our Lives highlights

Brady (Eric Martsolf) alarmed Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) when he told her that CPS had been talking to him about Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater) but also wanted to talk to Kristen. She knew that Rachel would be in big trouble if anyone knew what was going on at Aremid. Later, Brady met with Steve (Stephen Nichols) to hear an enhanced version of Ava's (Tamara Braun) voicemail. Brady then realized that Ava was at Aremid and rescued her.

Meanwhile, Kristen had a plan to help her and EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) out of their hostage-keeping jam. A vial of serum arrived that Kristen felt would come in handy.

Belle's trick

When EJ woke, Belle (Martha Madison) couldn't wait to tell him that he talked in his sleep and confessed to setting up Jada (Elia Cantu). EJ denied that accusation and claimed he never talked in his sleep. Belle wasn't sure whether to believe him or not but left well enough alone for now. Later, EJ pretended to talk in his sleep and made sure to mention Jada.

Belle was surprised when EJ told her that he was developing feelings for her and that he thought of their time together as more than just a casual fling. However, he had more pressing matters to think about after Belle left for the day — namely Arnold and Rafe (Galen Gering).

Javi spills the tea

Jada dreamed of Rafe walking through Stephanie's (Abigail Klein) front door and apologizing for all he had done. Rafe even got down on one knee and proposed again. Jada was disappointed when she realized it was just a dream. At least she had a visit from Steve for some fatherly comfort and advice.

Later, Jada ran into Javi (Al Calderon) in Horton Square and told him how she still dreamed of Rafe and even dreamed of him that morning. Javi didn't want Jada to keep pining for Rafe, so he made a decision after discussing it with Leo (Greg Rikaart) earlier. He stunned Jada by telling her that Rafe had cheated on her.
