3 BIG Days of our Lives Takeaways, February 14: Love, Longing, and Loss

On the Friday, February 14, 2025, episode of Days of our Lives, Holly planned to take a big step, Johnny and Chanel got mixed news, and Julie tried to put on a happy face.

Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) had to endure her first Valentine's Day in more than 50 years without Doug (Bill Hayes) by her side. She remembered special moments from Valentine's Day past before Doug III (Peyton Meyer) arrived with a dozen roses to cheer her up.

Julie ended up telling Doug all about a special family book, but when she looked for it, she realized she left it at the Horton cabin last year. Doug III was fascinated by Julie's tale of getting snowed in with Johnny (Carson Boatman) and Chanel (Raven Bowens) while they were on their honeymoon. When Chanel got lost in the snow, a radioactive Paulina (Jackee Harry) rescued her with a snow plow.

Doug offered to go to the cabin and get Julie's book. When Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) dropped by to bring Julie some cheer, all Julie could talk about was how sweet Doug Williams III was.

Holly's big night

Holly (Ashley Puzemis) woke up on Valentine's Day morning with a treat from Tate (Leo Howard) — flowers, chocolate, and his presence. They planned for their trip to the Horton cabin, but Tate had to check on Sophia (Rachel Boyd) first.

After talking with Maggie about her plan to have sex with Tate for the very first time, Holly made her way to the cabin and got ready for the night. She donned sexy lingerie and posed in the mirror, feeling foolish the whole time. Holly was still expecting Tate, but what she did not expect was for Doug III to walk in instead. Doug didn't think he'd find Holly there either.

Did fate step in?

After Johnny served her breakfast in bed, Chanel worried they might have trouble becoming pregnant so they took off to see Kayla (Mary Beth Evans). Sadly, Kayla had bad news. Chanel's HCG levels were still high after her molar pregnancy last year, which made it risky for her to become pregnant in case cancer was involved. Johnny and Chanel worried they might never become parents.

In another exam room, Holly and Sophia were told their baby was fine after Sophia experienced round ligament pain. Sophia even convinced her mother to let her and Tate find a couple to adopt their baby. When Tate mentioned this news to Johnny and Chanel, Johnny had an amazing idea...
