Arianne Zucker's last appearance on Days of our Lives left her with bittersweet memories.
Days of our Lives' Eric and Nicole are now off to Paris, as July 29, 2024, marks Arianne Zucker's final episode as Nicole Walker, the character she has played on and off since 1998.
As Eric and Nicole remembered their long and rocky Salem romance, Zucker shared her own memories of her 26 years as part of the DAYS family with a poignant post on Instagram.
"I loved my job. I loved my friends. I loved my co-workers, but most of all I love all of you," Zucker wrote alongside a video montage of some of her favorite behind-the-scenes moments. "When someone says you are irreplaceable...maybe, but the heart of an individual is not. I gave all my heart and always will. I could never have had this job unless I had all of you."
Zucker went on to thank her fans for sticking by her and sticking by Nicole as she did good things and bad, while growing and maturing along the way.
"From the bottom of my heart and beyond, I can't thank you enough for loving to hate Nicole and for loving her again as she changed in life with all of you. Thank you for being a part of my journey. This is an adventure that will live with me forever. Thank you for standing up for what is right. Thank you for standing by me. Thank you for acknowledging what this industry so easily takes advantage of. I will forever stand for you. I love you!"
Zucker has left DAYS twice before, in 2006 and again in March 2017. This time, the actress left under a shroud of controversy. In a lawsuit Zucker filed against Corday Productions and former executive producer Alber Alaar in February of this year, she makes sexual harassment allegations against Alaar. In her lawsuit, she alleges that the soap did not negotiate a new contract in "good faith" after she was given a "take it or leave it" offer. After her contract expired in January, she claims DAYS fired her.
While Eric and Nicole's departure marked Zucker's last day on DAYS, there is no word on Greg Vaughan's status as Eric and whether he is expected to return to Salem without Nicole.
