Leo's mom is returning to the Days of our Lives scene as Judith Chapman revisits the villainous character.
When Days of our Lives' Leo Stark began therapy with Marlena, she immediately brought up his childhood, leading Leo to lament the mother who always told him he was no good. Now, that mother will be making an appearance, as Judith Chapman once again brings Diana Colville to life, according to Soap Opera Digest.
Chapman, who played Angelica Deveraux on DAYS from 1989 to 1991 and again in 2018, was last seen as DAYS' Diana in 2019 when she claimed that her ex-flame John Black was Leo's father. That assertion turned out to be false, and Diana was soon sent to prison for poisoning John's wife, Marlena. Five years is a long time to be behind bars by soap standards, so is she finally free when she appears again next week?
Diana was originally played by General Hospital's Genie Francis from 1987 to 1989. At the time, she was a heroine and did not have the vindictive killer instinct we saw with Chapman's 2019 version of the character.

Chapman herself is no stranger to the soap world. Before becoming the version of Angelica who gave birth to the baby now known as Alex Kiriakis, she played Ginny Blake Webber on GH from 1984 to 1986. Ginny was married to Rick Webber, Laura's adoptive father.
Chapman also recurs on The Young and the Restless as Gloria Abbott, a character she began playing in 2005. She even brought Gloria to The Bold and the Beautiful for a bit in 2014. Chapman was last seen as Gloria in November of 2023 when she made a comical comeback for her family's Thanksgiving celebration.
As fans know, Gloria is the mother of Michael Baldwin and Kevin Fisher, and Kevin is played by Greg Rikaart, who brings Leo to life on DAYS, making the soap world a small one indeed.
