Days of our Lives star Cary Christopher cast in new horror flick with Josh Brolin

Young Days of our Lives actor Cary Christopher will be among some big Hollywood heavy hitters.

Days of our Lives' Thomas might be MIA for a bit next year, as Cary Christopher plans to spend his next few months filming a horror flick starring big-name actors, including Josh Brolin, Amy Madigan, and Benedict Wong, according to Deadline.

Written and directed by Barbarians' Zach Cregger, Weapons will also star Austin Abrams, Julia Garner, and Alden Ehrenreich.

An excited Christopher couldn't wait to share the big news on his Instagram page, saying, "The news has dropped!! Heading to Atlanta for the next few months!!!!!!!"

In addition to DAYS, Christopher has had roles in several TV series, including NCIS in April, Station 19, American Horror Story, Fuller House, and Mr. Mom.

Christopher has been bringing Thomas DiMera to life on DAYS since 2020 and earned a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Younger Performer in 2023. Thomas is the son of Chad DiMera and the (allegedly) late Abigail Deveraux DiMera and the namesake of his great-great-grandfather, Tom Horton. His grandparents are Jennifer Horton Deveraux and Jack Deveraux. In 2022, Christopher had a big task playing a grieving Thomas after his mother died.

"I learned I was nominated when school got out that day," Christopher told Soap Opera Digest of his Emmy nod. "I saw balloons and thought, 'Cool, is it someone's birthday?' But then I realized my parents were the ones with the balloons! They handed me a picture frame and inside was a list of the Daytime Emmy nominees, and I saw my name on it. I didn't know they were being announced that day, so it was a huge surprise. And it's pretty neat I'm the youngest nominee this year. My footage was from when I was 7."
