Cody Longo, who appeared in a handful of episodes of Days of our Lives, has died. The actor was just 34.
In a statement, Longo's rep Alex Gittelson shared, "My heart breaks for his beautiful family. He had taken some time away from acting to pursue music and spend more time with his family in Nashville, but we had kept in touch regularly and he was excited to get back into acting this year. Cody was such a loyal, loving and talented person, and he will be greatly missed."
According to TMZ, Cody was found Wednesday, February 8, in bed at a residence in Austin, Texas. Longo's wife, Stephanie, who was at work at a local dance studio says she had an uneasy feeling when she couldn't reach him and requested that the police go and check on him.

Family members shared that Cody struggled with alcohol abuse. They expressed concern that Cody had relapsed and that alcoholism likely contributed to his death. An official cause of death has yet to be released.
Longo appeared as Nicholas Alamain in eight episodes of DAYS in 2011. A year later, he found success in the Nick at Nite series Hollywood Heights, where he played Eddie Duran. Hollywood Heights was executive produced by Jill Farren Phelps and Josh Griffith.
Longo leaves behind his wife, a 7-year-old daughter, and 5- and 1-year-old sons.
