Season 3 of After Forever begins production in September

The story and characters you love from the Amazon LGBTQIA+ themed drama series After Forever are returning to a screen near you. Now would be a great time to rewatch the first two seasons of this Emmy-winning series before the third season airs.

After Forever, created by Kevin Spirtas (Dr. Craig Wesley, Days of our Lives) is set to start production on the third season September 24th in New York. The story will pick up one month after the end of Season Two. According to the official press release, "Brian (Spirtas) is angry and frustrated over his recent break-up and his inability to 'move on' from mourning his late husband Jason (Mitchell Anderson). With his personal and professional life in turmoil, friends urge him to seek help from Dr. Meyers (Linda Purl). But as the past and present get filtered through the counseling sessions, explosive insights and frayed relationships make Brian doubt himself even more-as he grapples with how to handle his own desires and fears.

"Revelations about Jason's past affair with a young writer (Christopher J. Hanke) and Brian's present-day temptations threaten Brian's feelings about the man he considered the love of his life. And a chorus of well-meaning friends and family, led by the late Jason's best friend Lisa (Tony-winner and Emmy-nominee Cady Huffman) and his parents (Emmy-nominees Anita Gillette and Lenny Wolpe) further complicate Brian's attempts to build a new life."

After Forever made history as the LGBT-themed drama with the most Emmy wins on any platform. The series' six wins include Outstanding Writing for Digital Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Daytime Digital Series (Kevin Spirtas), and Outstanding Digital Drama Series in 2019, and Outstanding Writing Team in a Digital Drama in 2020.

Cast members also returning to the series are Emmy-winner Erin Cherry, David Dean Bottrell, Finn Douglas, Wyatt Fenner, Peter Kim, Robert Emmet Lunney, Mike McGowan, Jonathan Rayson, and Jamison Stern. New episodes are set to drop during the 2022 Christmas season. For more information visit After Forever's official website.
