Matthew Ashford returns as Days of our Lives' Jack Deveraux

Days of our Lives is bringing Jack Deveraux back to Salem, with actor Matthew Ashford set to reprise the role of Abigail's (Marci Miller) dad later this month.

Ashford's return as Jack comes hot on the heels of the news that DAYS is bringing actors Chandler Massey, Zach Tinker, and Greg Rikaart back as Salemites Will Horton, Sonny Kiriakis, and Leo Stark, respectively. For more on the trio's return and to see a preview of what's ahead, click here.

As fans may recall, Jack and his wife, Jennifer (Melissa Reeves), left for Boston just after the holidays, and it was unclear when -- or if -- either would return. Fortunately, official show teasers reveal that Jack will be back in action the week of Monday, February 21, when he presses Gwen (Emily O'Brien) for information on the whereabouts of his missing daughter, Abigail (Marci Miller).

While the show is not commenting, Soap Central has learned that Melissa Reeves (Jennifer Horton Deveraux) will be back on the canvas this March for the conclusion of Abigail's disappearance storyline.

Ashford joined DAYS in 1987 and has played the role on-again, off-again since that time, with a long absence between 2012 and 2018, when Jack was thought to be dead after falling down an elevator shaft.
