Eileen Davidson has announced that she'll be taking part in the upcoming streaming Days of our Lives spinoff series, Beyond Salem. But what the actress isn't saying is what has fans talking.
Eileen Davidson is headed back to the Days of our Lives universe. The Emmy-winning actress announced on Twitter that she'll be taking part in the upcoming DAYS spinoff Beyond Salem.
"I'm BEYOND excited to be joining BEYOND SALEM," the actress tweeted.

Davidson's post came just a few hours after Lisa Rinna (Billie Reed) outed Davidson's return in a photo on Instagram. In the Instastory, Davidson was seen sitting in a chair in the hair and makeup department with the caption "LOOK WHO I FOUND."
As previously reported, Rinna, who costarred with Davidson for three seasons on the reality series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, will also be stepping back into her DAYS role for the streaming series.
What hasn't been said is who Davidson will be playing. Soap Opera Digest reports that Davidson will be playing Kristen DiMera. Deadline, which was the first to confirm what Rinna did earlier on social media, says that it "is unclear which character" Davidson will be playing.
All of Davidson's former DAYS characters (or at least most of the five) have been played by actress Stacy Haiduk since June 2018 -- not that Days of our Lives has ever let something like that get in the way.
Davidson exited her DAYS role and her role as Ashley Abbott on The Young and the Restless in 2018. Though whispers emerged that there were contract issues involved in the actress' decision to exit both soaps, Davidson later revealed that she wanted "a little more control over my day to day."
"I just found myself exhausted and completely consumed with memorizing lines," Davidson said in an interview the following year. "I found myself doing a lot of homework on the weekend. I've been doing this for a long time. I was kind of wanting to not have to be somewhere all of the time."
Davidson has made several short-term returns to The Young and the Restless since her exit. She's also found time to appear in a handful of other projects including a heartwarming Christmas film, a sitcom with Caitlyn Jenner called Duke of the Valley, and an award-winning performance in 7 Days to Vegas.
Last month, Davidson announced that her Soap Opera Mystery novels were being turned into a series called Dial Emme for Murder.
