It's been months since fans have seen Days of our Lives' Maggie Horton, so Suzanne Rogers' upcoming return to Salem will be a very welcome one!
Days of our Lives just doesn't feel like the same show without Salem staple Maggie Horton, who hasn't been seen on-screen since early this year. Fans have been missing the beloved redhead and her charming tough-yet-sweet way of keeping the town's residents in line, so the latest behind-the-scenes news from the NBC soap will no doubt bring smiles: Suzanne Rogers is reportedly back in the shoes of the character she's been playing since 1973.
Several DAYS actors have told the fan site Jason47 that Rogers recently returned to work after a months-long hiatus in which the writers didn't write Maggie into scenes. The actress' return airdate remains unclear at this time, but considering Rogers has very rarely been absent for such a long stretch of time, viewers are no doubt hoping she'll be back on the canvas sooner rather than later!

As for what might bring Maggie back into the action, the contract character is bound to realize that she hasn't heard from her daughter, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey), in quite some time and start to wonder where the heck she is. Will Maggie be the one to find out that Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) drugged Sarah and shipped her off to live on a deserted island? Keep tuning in to Days of our Lives to find out!
Suzanne Rogers originated the role of Maggie Horton in 1973 and won the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series award at the Daytime Emmys in 1979 for her work on the NBC series. Her other acting credits include Knight Rider, Little House on the Prairie, Quincy M.E., and Love, American Style.
