Days of our Lives' Black family better watch out, because Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) is about to wake up from her coma, and you better believe she's gonna raise hell over being nearly strangled to death!
Days of our Lives' Sami (Alison Sweeney) put her family through the wringer when she brought Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) back to Salem last year, but that hell was just the start of it: Jan will soon be back for another round in the ring, and the fight is destined to get really ugly this time around!
As fans may recall, Jan wreaked havoc during Shawn (Brandon Beemer) and Belle's (Martha Madison) wedding last November, kidnapping Belle so that she could force Shawn into marrying her, instead. Jan then claimed that she had killed Belle, which prompted a freaked out John (Drake Hogestyn) to strangle Jan into unconsciousness. The character has been in a coma since that time, but she's set to wake up the week of March 29 -- and the trouble that will follow is no April Fools joke!

Jan is no doubt going to be extra pissed that John tried to kill her and caused her to miss out on four months of her life as she recovered in a coma. But how will she express her anger toward him and the rest of the Black/Brady family? Fans will have to keep tuning in to Days of our Lives to find out!
There's no word yet about the length of time that Jan will be on the canvas this go-around, but if Lindell had her way, the character would stick around in Salem for the long haul.
"I love playing this character," she told Soap Opera Digest in November. "Although she's definitely had a one-track focus -- and maybe she'll continue to have that focus -- I think that there are so many layers to her. There are so many ways she could be written and so many things she could do and so much trouble she could stir, whether she decides to move on and become obsessed with someone else or whether she focuses her mania on someone else, which we saw her do a lot with Claire [Isabel Durant]... I would love to kind of see where these writers, if they bring her back, decide to go with her because there's a lot you could do with the character."
Heather Lindell starred as DAYS' Jan from 2004 to 2005. She reprised the villainous character for the soap's digital Last Blast Reunion special in 2019, which led to her return on the broadcast version of the soap in 2020. In addition to DAYS, Lindell is known for her 2007 role as As the World Turns' Lynn, as well as appearing in series such as The Tanner, Sex Pose Man, and Rubicon.
