Kristian Alfonso joining The Young and the Restless? Days of our Lives actress reveals details

Days of our Lives' Kristian Alfonso (ex-Hope Brady) reveals her future soap opera plans and when fans can next see her on television.

Fans of recent Days of our Lives alum Kristian Alfonso (ex-Hope Brady) were treated to some very juicy information this week when the actress decided to interact with a few of her Twitter followers. She didn't hesitate to disclose total honesty about her current career situation, which she says does not include a return to daytime.

When a fan cheekily asked the actress when she will first be airing on The Young and the Restless, Alfonso took it in stride with the response, "Lol [sorry] to disappoint but I don't have any plans to join Y&R... or General Hospital or B&B." However, she added that they are "all amazing, well done, creative shows."

When another fan expressed sadness over Alfonso having no plans to return to daytime, a second admirer pointed out that the actress "does have say-so over her personal and professional life. If you are a fan that truly follows her, you'd know that the writing and lack of concern for the history of Hope is why she left. The fans deserve the truth, and she has given us that!"

Though Alfonso didn't respond to that with an elaborate comment of her own, she did back up the passionate fan by retweeting the post with a smile face and the word "truth."

So, if fans can't look forward to seeing Alfonso back at DAYS or on another soap opera, can they at least look forward to seeing her in other film or television projects? As Soap Central previously reported, the actress recently joined DAYS' Alison Sweeney (Sami Brady) as a sheriff in Hallmark's Chronicle Mysteries film franchise, and she may be signed on for more.

When asked specifically about the franchise, Alfonso merely responded to the fan with a winky face. But she does say that fans can look forward to seeing her in projects again in February and March -- but, as she didn't reveal any further information, it looks like everyone will have to wait until then to find out more about her mystery projects!

Alfonso began playing Hope Williams Brady in 1983 and, outside of two brief breaks in the late 80s and early 90s, remained with the NBC soap opera until October 2020. She revealed that her decision to walk away from DAYS was prompted by executive producer Ken Corday telling her earlier in the year that Hope would be off camera for four to five months.
